Progress for its own sake seems more harmful than beneficial...
Never in history (human history, at least) have so many radical changes been introduced so rapidly....
It seems that each year our world (global society) has a new technology/ ideology thrust upon it...
As a child I was told that even minor changes to an ecosystem can have far ranging consequences...

Or perhaps I am just an iconoclast...

You an iconoclast is not necessarily a bad thing... To dissect for clarification of knowledge is prudent really...So much to absorb anymore we all probably need to embrace “iconoclasm“.. Vetting much the same and yet few feel it important..

I agree with you about the pace of change.. Given the technology we now have and will enhance into the future we simply can not keep up with the changing pace...Nor handle it safely!!! Wars an example, boots on the ground a thing of the past. Cyber attacks, hitting our electrical grid, hitting our nuc sites etc is the new elements being perfected....

Its a scary element of progress and in the wrong hands should be our first concern!!

We are gaining more knowledge and have not a clue how to sbsorb it in a positive light vs what all Government wants it for ~~ to control...

Come now friend Bob who is bad...

'Advancements' in certain areas (technology/social ideologies/ educational methodologies) doesn't always have the desired outcome...
Hence 'Progress isn't necessarily progress'...

Many of the policies advocated by certain elements of our respected societies are (personal opinion) more the result of change for changes sake; a reflexive rebuttal of (perceived) collective guilt and/or injustices by a population that is genuinely disillusioned with the ideals of our respective societies...
Hence 'considering progressives in their idea of progress'...

Or at least I hope that my interpretation of LindaJoy's post is of that vein...
Come now friend Bob who is bad... br br 'Advancem... (show quote)

Thank You and yes, to the point and well said....

Please name the "policies advocated by certain elements".

Starting to feel like this is a one way relationship... One of us is doing a lot of giving... The other a lot of taking...

Still... I appreciate your civility...

How about the bathroom policies being advocated in many states? For the 'comfort' of a minority (this word was chosen with care) the majority are forced to accept a situation that is morally repugnant (and possibly dangerous) to them...

My apologies Bad Bob... I would have replied earlier... But nodded off...

I thought we were past the emoji phase of our relationship...

I would hit you with a Canadian emoji... But it's hard to determine the various facial expressions of a beaver unless you're a Canuck...

What harm has come from the "bathroom policies" other than getting conservative panties in a wade?

Many of the private training schools over here have co-ed bathrooms...
There have been numerous incidents...
I (personally) would not be comfortable sharing a locker room with a woman... Or showering with one in my gym... Or needing to use the same facuilities as a woman...

The reverse is also true, if not more so...

Excuse the crudity, but penises do not belong in women's locker rooms or bathrooms... And the majority of people (I believe) would support this stance...

Certainly the decision should not be forced on people against their will...

Good morning Bob

I thought you were in Canada. Now about your bathroom thing. Do the Chinese have a problem with the co-ed?
