New York City settled a federal lawsuit filed by a Muslim firefighter, Raheem Hassan (photo right), who claimed he was tricked into eating pork products and harassed by what he dubbed the "r****t" Bravest FDNY. Hassan, 31, b***hed and moaned that he had been bullied and harassed by other fighfighters at the Brooklyn station, nicknamed the “Friendly Firehouse,” since the summer of 2015.
New York Post, A so-called 'devout' Muslim, Hassan claimed he had to stop eating “family” meals with other firefighters because they tried to trick him into eating pork — and sometimes rolled his food in bacon grease without his knowledge. Hassan claimed his colleagues served him pasta sauce spiked with pork and cooked his food in bacon grease — meats his religion forbids him to eat.
Hassan also complained that fellow firefighters took photos of their g*****ls next to his face while he slept and then texted them to him.

The feud reached its boiling point on Dec. 20, 2017 when Hassan, off-duty near his Staten Island home, telephoned Lt. David Hughes, who called police after Hassan told him, “I’m going to k**l the guys in the firehouse.” Hassan told cops: “All I did was call my fire officer and tell him I wanted to hurt myself and the people hurting me,” records show.
The alleged threat shut down the firehouse that day, and Hassan was charged with misdemeanor aggravated harassment. Last February, the Staten Island District Attorney granted him a deal in which the charge would be dropped and the case sealed if he stayed out of trouble for six months and continued counseling.
Neither the city nor Hughes admitted any wrongdoing. “This settlement was in the best interests of the city,” said Law Department spokesman Nicholas Paolucci.

But Hassan’s lawyer, Aymen Aboushi, told The Post the settlement “is an acknowledgment that Hassan was subject to an inappropriate work environment. Hassan is “content” with the cash settlement and “thriving” in a new firehouse, Aboushi added. (Until he decides to sue them, too)
Firefighter Raheem Hassan also settled with a supervisor at Engine 309/Ladder 159 in Flatlands, Lt. David Hughes, who agreed to fork over another $1,000. Hassan’s lawsuit continues against two other defendants, firefighters Joe Lankford and Tommy Donovan, who, like Hughes, did not receive legal representation by the city.
As Robert Spencer said, "If Hassan had been a non-Muslim who threatened to k**l his Muslim colleagues, do you think criminal charges against him would have been dropped if he agreed to stay out of trouble and go into counseling?"

Were there any real proof of what the Muslim man claims I would side with him. However, so far, none of the claims from any of these Muslim activists has turned out to be proven t***h full.

I see the heads up didn't help. I must been right about all the dead cells. I just think the story has a lot of holes in it. If these clowns did what they were accused of they should have been fired. Maybe the Muslim firefighter tried to shove his beliefs down their throat. Don't know. Remember these suits are adjudicated with tax payer dollars so many times they will pay, even if some of the allegations are proven false. Besides big city politicians are scared to death to say something bad about a Muslim. Being accused of Islamophobia is worse than being a p*******e in liberal circles.
