This is Meant in the most honest spirit of debate and in no way is intennded to slight or belittle the United States of America...
"A war between two countries is not the same as a t*****rous attack on your own country. "
"The Secession was a t*****rous action, plain and simple. Attacking and k*****g your fellow citizens. "
Based upon the above statements please answer the following question...
May I assume you consider all Americans t*****rs for rebelling against their lawful government (England)?
One nation's t*****r is another nation's hero...
Impressive that you have held on to your family history...
I'm sixth generation Canadian myself... Of scottish decent... With Plenty of others mixed in along the way..

Guard against the impostures of pretended patriotism. .They are many hiding behind the veil of oppression to later betray us all...~
Were they t*****rs?? In political philosophy, the right of revolution (or right of r*******n) is the right or duty of the the people of a nation to o*******w a government that acts against their common interests and/or threatens the safety of the people without cause... Arguably the people who chose to rise against the perceived oppressoon of them is not itself treason.. A right to fight against Tyranny~~ in other words..
I am a direct descendant of Paul Revere.. My grandmother came from Sweden..Two times English, swedish, cherokee Indian from my grandmother on my fathers side...Heinz 57 variety in other words...

I liked that answer... Of course , depending on who one asks, the government is always acting against the Common interests of the people... Except when it's not working at all...
The right to fight against tyrrany is a beautiful concept... I think next week I may have to do tyrrany for my 'definitions' post... Kind of scary thinking about some of the answers our leftest friends on the OPP might give... Although when I consider some of the ideas proposed by our rightest friends on the OPP I am just as frightened...
As you probably know, Canada never fought for freedom... In fact most Canadians are unaware of our basic history... I am constantly amazed how much many American's (Especially of the mature generation) know about their history...
(If you ever want a good chuckle ask a Canadian what Canada means... odds are they don't know... and then you can make up just about any story you want and watch them nod and say 'that sounds right, eh')
In Canada we would call you Metis (pronounced like the pirate word matey)... It denotes someone of mixed native and european blood... I am also Metis (though I refused status) with Cree blood from my father's side...
Thanks for responding Lindajoy...
Yoir friend, Kyle

The normal american - Heinz 57!!! I am not a direct descendant of anyone special - unless you consider horse thieves special - but I could join the DAR from my maternal grandpa's side. Most everybody else on both sides are from Germany circa 1860- 1895.

This wonderful organization gave me a beautiful engraved certificate for my service in Vietnam a couple of years ago. I donate annually on Veterans day.
