Kwanzaa is a holiday invented in 1966 by Maulana Karenga (founder of the Black Power group Us Organization) through which African Americans can connect with their heritage and culture. I just thought that you would appreciate that is all.
I wasn't up on the earthquake thing but I do remember
That I had been on the road to San Francisco and when
I returned there was a quack in San Francisco right after
I left there and it flattened the Double Decker bridge
that went from San Francisco to Oakland and there were
many people that were k**led in that tragedy that wasn't
that quake was it? Don't remember the year.

I looked up that quake and that was 1989 from what I was able to gather from looking it up.
Man I am getting old it seems like yesterday to me.

I always remember it as happening during the 1989 Bay Area World Series between the San Francisco Giants and Oakland A's.

I had been out there on business and had left there like the week before that happened. In fact I had even used that bridge that week a couple of times to get things from San Francisco. I h**ed using that bridge because of the constraints of the top deck over the bottom deck. I could only imagine what those people went through that were trapped and some of them even died during that earthquake while on the bridge waiting for help to arrive.

I was in Candlestick park waiting for the game to start when that earth quake hit. I had never seen so much cement move like jelly.
