For OldRoy

He was my very first OPP friend. Although this piece is from the resurrection section of Handel’s Messiah, it is my dear friend OldRoy’s favorite piece for Christmas.

I sincerely hope he will enjoy this unusual but inspiring version.

OldRoy loves his music, and I'm sure he will appreciate this, AuntiE.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you, Dear Lady.

Are you having family visit, going to them or what? As I continue with my bronchitis, could you save me meal pr********n and send some small smidgen of sustenance through the screen? I have little appetite; however, UncleE still needs something.

My sister-in-law, cousin, and Veteran friends of mine are joining us for Christmas & dinner. All would otherwise be alone tomorrow.

The kids have called, but will be spending Christmas at home with their families near Austin, Sacramento and Knoxville.

Sorry, but my tech/computer sk**ls have never advanced enough to send virtual meals over the internet.

Go out for dinner

It sounds like a convivial gathering.

Probably easier on everyone for the others to not travel.

I think the turkey breast is going to cook in the crockpot and beans cook with no need of assistance. Mashed potatoes may be a no go due to just plain to tired to peel, cut, cook, mash, etc. No matter my stamina, dressing/stuffing is mandatory for UncleE. Obviously, it is not going to be splendiferous but they will be fed.

Convivial, huh I don't know about that, but it should be good fellowship and a festive feast. And, yes, they are either too far away to make it home, or in Gabe's case...enjoy their own family gathering.

Sorry you're still down with bronchitis, but a few gin & tonics before dinner should loosen up your throat and lungs...a couple more after dinner will help you sleep (pass out?) peacefully afterwards. UncleE would do well in learning how to cook at some level. Maybe, ProgenyE, also.

It is improving, yet continues to linger. It is wearing my stamina down.

Nary a drop of gin, nor tonic, in the abode. I neglected a trip to the beverage seller.

UncleE does cook; however, not ‘holiday’ meals.

Admittedly, I rarely pitch in and cook on holidays, as The Sgt. Major enjoys doing it. Since I do most of the cooking otherwise, I have no problem with that. She is an excellent cook! I, for my part, am an excellent eater.

Good night, Dear Lady, and take care of that bronchitis.

My doctor told me sometime ago that my coughing was because of bronchitis but at least as much emphysema. She finally gave me a prescription to a very fine way to k**l the serious coughing. In a month it had seemingly cured me and then I talked with my pharmacist about what that strong breathing stuff was. She said that it was a new kind of stuff that nearly all the providers are selling, but then it seems that that comes from the fact that they can charge so much for it. She says about all of them force the price to be around $400 per month which my Medicare Part D pays only about $300. I was in very good shape without the "stuff" for about 2 months and now it is coming back so I got a renewal.

I had never heard that version of the song but did really like it.
