When I make a faux pas, its jumped on and i am torn apart. When i make articulate, proveable, valid statements, they are totaly ignored. Thats what libs do. Sad because its such a mess and it only proves that most people just wanna h**e. No real discussions on faith, politics, world and home economy. In the end, it really doesnt because the workd is gonna shake us off like fleas on a dog.
Lena,
As one of the ones who has "jumped on" you, I would like to comment, too.
It sound like you're crying, "poor, poor, pitiful me,", even though you say you're not. Wolf Blitzer gave you some sage advice, and, again, you blew him off. You and I have argued your "articulate, proveable, valid statements," and I can tell you, they are not at all as you describe them. If they were as you describe, it wouldn't be impossible, but it would be more difficult to argue them. If you were ignored, there wouldn't be anyone arguing with you. Your post would die a lonely death.
Speaking as a moderate, hating isn't a quality, reserved for liberals, only. In my short time here, I've read many conservatives calling liberals, and me, childish, h**eful names - you included. In my responses to you, have I ever called you a derogatory name?
If you want a serious discussion on politics, religion, home and world economy, you need to present facts and figures that I, and others who respond, can verify. I don't accept something just because you wrote it.
We have argued Biblical matters. And for every passage you used for your arguments, I replied with at lease two to counter you. Plus, you even implied, in a rather negative sense, that the KJV was written, in part, by Catholics. In that, you demonstrated that your Bible knowledge is sorely lacking.
FYI- (the following is from Wikipedia and verified by a few other sources I have from when I taught a 6-week Sunday School class on the origin of the Bible.)
King James gave the t***slators instructions intended to guarantee that the new version would conform to the ecclesiology and reflect the episcopal structure of the Church of England and its belief in an ordained clergy. The t***slation was done by 47 scholars, all of whom were members of the Church of England (See! No Catholics were involved). In common with most other t***slations of the period, the New Testament was t***slated from Greek, the Old Testament was t***slated from Hebrew text, while the Apocrypha were t***slated from the Greek and Latin.
So, please, don't go crying that you're being picked on. I felt your postings were full of inaccuracies and was attempting to show you where you were wrong. Plus, calling people names doesn't win you any converts. It simply causes them to dig their heels in a lot deeper and shows them you've run out of viable arguments.
