I Got Scolded Today

Yesterday, I was commenting about the young people in my neighborhood having nothing to do. My grand son slapped me with my own words.

He said, Grandmama, I remember your asking me once what I was doing to correct a situation. I believe your exact words were if your not part of the solution you are part of the problem. I also remember being told if your not willing to help don't complain. So, what are you doing to correct this?"

Having been corrected,on Saturday mornings, I will be giving painting lessons to any kid wanting to learn. Saturday afternoons will be horse back riding lesson to the children whose parents allow them to take the lessons.

I put up flyers at our local seed and feed for a neighborhood meeting. After only two hours, I have had twenty people RSVP.
Seems there are quite a few people with talents to share. We were all sitting in houses complaining and now we are working on a rec center.

No words to express what I think of your solutions. Awesome falls short. Great, is much too mild. I guess, all I can do is use a tired phrase; YOU GO GIRL! Everyone has talents, but you are quite remarkable!!

I have 2 things to say:

First, I Love that You have a Grandson that Follows Your Commentary & Feels Comfortable Enough with You to Challenge You in a Positive Way...

Second, I Love that You are Savvy Enough Take What Your Grandson Pointed Out to You & You Followed-Thru With It...

TY to Both of You...
