When they abandoned the requirement that scouts should bne "mortally straight" they set the stage for what has befallen them. Scouting is essentially a conservative movement and introduction of progressive thinking has destroyed this once great organization.

Once they allowed homosexual scout masters and the L***Q activists made sure that there were a higher percentage of homosexual scout masters than would be representative of the 3% homosexual population, the probability of scout masters convincing some scouts to accept the scoutmasters advances, it was all downhill from there.

I begins with not recognizing Homosexuality as a perversion and a moral defect. They should all have stayed in the closet or any other space that confined them away from normal, moral people.

Agreed. There's no such thing as coincidences. They didn't have these issues before. Not on this scale.

No shock there If I was younger and had a male child I wouldn't let him anywhere near the boy scouts of America any more. It is no longer the boy scouts that I grew up with and attended.

This is what Liberals do. Destroy great organizations from the inside out. Like a v***s.

I was a boy scout about a half century ago, and it seemed at the time that everyone I knew, adults, children, didn't have to go out of their way to embrace morality, it was just part of the human fabric. It was pretty much the same where patriotism was concerned.

Today, we have scandals like the Boy Scouts', not just in that institution but throughout every level of our society.

We've allowed g****r confusion to saturate our society to Babelesque proportions, we've allowed intrusive government to force dubious concepts on the unwilling and mandate substandard but indoctrinational "education" for our youth, we've allowed what were once well labelled radical "subversives" to become members of Congress and we've allowed eight years of a president whose every personal belief was the antithesis of America and profound benignity to our enemies and then nearly elect a hardened criminal to succeed him. We've permitted a powerful and aggressive atheist force to muscle it's way into our society and take root.

I don't know how many here are familiar with Hieronymus Bosch, a painter from about five centuries ago who produced some highly intense work.

One of his paintings is titled "The Miser." In it, an old miser is on his death bed, being watched by a few malevolently gleeful demons from around the room.

I only bring this up because I imagine the same demons grinning down on our society, watching with evil amusement as it continues to decay.

We just seem to have done some kind of corrupt one-eighty somewhere along the line, so while I am saddened by the deterioration and subsequent demise of the Boy Scouts of America, call it a kind of cynicism brought on by developments named above, I'm not surprised.

Why should even once thoroughly wholesome entities like the BSA be spared, when we're allowing everything else to deteriorate to the point of unrecognizability?

Hieronymus Bosch is one of my favorite artists, I have a couple books featuring his amazing artwork. I am looking for prints of a couple of his works so I can put them up in our living room. Since Mikes(NPP) birthday is coming up next month, I am starting to search again, maybe this time I will find one I like.

I always thought the Miser was creepy! I think you're right. Spiritual warfare is very real and is escalating. The good news is we know who will win.
