In answer to the title of this thread: Trump doesn't care because he isn't all about re-e******n and doesn't answer to any donors or special interest groups. He simply knows its the best thing for the country in terms of controlling i*****l i*********n. He had Pelosi and Schummer on board but the far left lefties and l*****t dems are too stubborn to do what is right for the country. It's all about them!

Billions have been spent on the wall, easy sections were built at ludicrous money considering they were the easy sections. This wall is a black hole as far as endless money is concerned.
The first part of building a wall is to have a plan, know how much it's going to cost,,,that has not been done. So far everything from $80 Billion to now $5 Billion has been thrown out there. Meanwhile it would be interesting to see how and where the money has gone so far, not that this administration wants anything to do with oversight and accountability.

Perhaps it's that "little" republican trick...say anything to get something started that is going to cost endless amounts of money, get it started and open the checkbook.
So Proud Russian...do you trust someone who starts out at $30 Billion, supposedly well explored...when experts are saying the real cost is likely somewhere north of $60 Billion considering the harshest problematic sections? Who now was just at "needing" 15 or 20 billion, but now can supposedly do it for $5 billion? Where are these numbers coming from if they aren't being pulled out of his butt?
For some reason neither Trump or republicans want to start with a very well laid out plan with comprehensive estimates...not that contracted bids would ever be worth the paper they are written on. The wall would cost a fraction if it had a comprehensive oversight management team, that contracted it to locals in stages rather than let a Haliburton type entity have the billions and subcontract it out in sections.
