This is Getting Downright Stupid: Virginia Teacher Fired for ‘Misg****ring’ a Student
Grace Carr ~ December 7, 2018
A Virginia high school teacher was sacked Thursday for allegedly “misg****ring” a student, marking the first time in the state that an educator has lost a job for using biological pronouns to refer to a student.

The West Point High School Board v**ed unanimously 5-0 to fire Peter Vlaming who teaches French at the school, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

Vlaming was charged with discrimination after failing to use male pronouns to address a biologically female student, according to the Times-Dispatch. Vlaming did not intentionally misg****r the student, but avoided using any pronouns to address or talk about the student in order to accord with his Christian faith, which barred him from referring to a b********l f****e as a male, the Times-Dispatch reported.

Vlaming accidentally referred to the student as a “she” on one occasion, according to the Times-Dispatch.

Misg****ring refers to using biological pronouns for a t*********r person as opposed to pronouns that accord with their new g****r identity. Deadnaming refers to using the “dead name,” the name they used before t***sitioning, to describe or address a t*********r person.

Vlaming’s avoidance of pronoun use made the t*********r student feel singled out, according to the report.

“That discrimination then leads to creating a hostile learning environment. And the student had expressed that. The parent had expressed that,” West Point schools Superintendent Laura Abel said, the newspaper reported. “They felt disrespected.”

Following a complaint about Vlaming’s behavior, school administrators claimed that Vlaming had t***sgressed school harassment and nondiscrimination policies. “Mr. Vlaming was recommended for termination due to his insubordination and repeated refusal to comply with directives made to him by multiple WPPS administrators,” Abel said in a statement.

West Point High’s policies include protections for persons who identify as t*********r but include no specific language on pronoun use.

“One of those rights that is not curtailed is to be free from being compelled to speak something that violates your conscience,” his lawyer Shawn Voyles said, according to the Virginia newspaper.

Numerous teachers and students have displayed an outflowing of support for Vlaming, according to the Times-Dispatch. Some raised questions about the fairness of Vlaming’s firing for allegedly violating a policy that does not exist or is not clear.

“If there’s no policy in place, how can they just let him go?” West Point High parent Jennifer Haynes said, the Times-Dispatch reported.

“I do think it’s a serious question of First Amendment rights,” Vlaming said, according to the Dispatch.

Superintendent Abel did not immediately respond to The Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.

The incident at West Point High is not the first time a teacher has been fired for misg****ring a student.

Math teacher Joshua Sutcliffe, 27, allegedly said “well done girls” to two students — one of whom was t*********r — at an Oxfordshire secondary school in England. He was suspended for six weeks before being fired over the offense in December 2017. He filed a lawsuit shortly thereafter.

Twitter banned the use of biological pronouns to refer to t*********r persons, adding a clause prohibiting the practice to its policy regarding h**eful conduct in October. “Targeted harassment or expressing h**e towards a person, group, or protected category,” is banned, according to Twitter’s H**eful Conduct Policy.

The L**T inquisitors have not quite jumped the shark yet. They are getting close. At some point the normals have to grab control once again. However, even some of the other Abby Normals are running afoul of the L**T Gods. The Feminists are getting fed up with former men getting the victim status reserved for women. There is a civil war brewing among the crazies. The L**T just have to push it a little bit harder.

.
Maybe everyone should be referred to as "it". The pronoun it is g****r neutral, so can't offend due to being the wrong g****r. The pronoun is also singular, so won't lead to tense confusion And the pronoun has the added benefit of reinforcing the left's reduction of everyone to the lowest common denominator. A collective entity instead of a number of individuals.
