Haven't they been increasingly trying to dictate all that and more to us over the past 3 decades? One of the things I really dislike about the democratic party is that their actions say they see themselves as our RULERS, and not our REPRESENTATIVES!
is this the same party selling v**es on the basis of free college education?
Meanwhile, this only applies to Americans born here, you can bet that at ten to one odds.
If thousands of uneducated third world immigrant couples on welfare have half a dozen children each, anyone observing the double standard will be called a "r****t."
A couple or three generations down the road, the term m**************m will have to include Americans if we expect to remain a part of our own society.

You are so right...if the Republican Party wants to be Relevant they must embrace M**************m...that is simply...the only way ahead for the party...be part of the solution not the problem.

Rather, we must not allow America to be converted into a third world country by letting m**************m overrule assimilation.
There's a lot of t***h to the adage "when in Rome, do what the Romans do."
If someone from one country desires to make another country his/her new home, the immigrant should be prepared to leave the old country behind and assimilate in the new.
I don't mean as far as cuisine or cultural contributions such as literature, art or music are concerned, those are desirable qualities in an immigrant, but his/her priorities should lie in mastering the new language, learning how the political system of the new country works, adapting the social mores and prevalent moral codes of the new country and functioning within the legal framework of the new country.
If they want to fly the f**g of the old country, they may as well go home to the old country.
They should not even be permitted to live in a country they have migrated to if they expect to go right on to welfare or other social services programs.
