Nor should they. Daddy Bush and Billy boy Clinton were apparently best buds! Go figure!

I do wish that we could be a nation of solidarity again, but in reality it would take a nation wide catastrophe.

Nothing sudden about respecting someone you disagree with on policy but I understand the need to perpetuate the Trump creed of h**e and eternal hostility.

I've noticed your side and the unending h**e for the President.

I ask because while all the presidents and their spouses were reciting the Apostles Creed Donald and Melania were acting like they were atheists and had no earthly clue what it was. I'm a bit surprised given Trump's love of the church and the sweet Lord Jesus Christ (he said so himself with his own two lips) plus you would think that someone might brief him on how the event was likely to start. I mean hell, you could even see the mouths moving of that fine young Muslim couple Barack and Michelle Obama so you would have thought that Melania and Donald would have given it the ole Christian try. No, they just stared stonely straight ahead while everyone else around them gave it their best while Donald and his wonderful spouse behaved like they were Jewish like Jared and his lovely wife Ivanka. So sad...

Meanwhile, the rest of the people in the row are reading from pamphlets because they don't know the words.

Exactly. And I can tell you, if one is uncomfortable with "cult-like" things, including mantra's and oaths or simple repetitions of sayings and beliefs, then the first time you are reading it and especially reciting it in a group setting, then it will feel like someone is trying to, yes, brainwash you. I see things like it in many arenas.

It would take a civil war.

If we went to war with Russia Trump supporters would support Russia

I truly think we need to form up around a single consolidated party made up of politicians who want to get things done for the people, not businesses and special interests.

We could outlaw lobbying for one. Set term limits on congress. Limit contributions or even eliminate them from all groups. So many ways but I'm not going to hold my breath!

By including Trump on his funeral guest list, President Bush temporarily took away Trump's twitter ability to bash the event. By his own example, Mr. Bush reminded us that when the studio audience tires of the realty show, a better, kinder, more American style leadership might one day return.

Every good quality spoken about Bush was a direct slap to Trump, he knows what he is, and it is the opposite.

Bush's funeral was a Trump roast, he h**ed it.

I'm with you on the lobbying...

I think dems are running the possibility of splintering like the republican party did with the teaparty, dems are already entering a primary elimination that weeds out the small guys that are winning popular regional races.

Dems need to form up with moderate/progressive republicans that want to get things done that benefit people and good government. People who h**e government cannot be a constructive part of anything that makes government work well. It gets destroyed by those who fundamentally are against government.

Remember? The Ruskies are only against the Left, at least that's been the unbridled spew from the socialist citizens. With your idea, all the Right would have to do, is wear MAGA hats and v**er id cards pinned to them for Ruski drones to smoke the Progs. I'll have my people talk to Putin's people and wait for a reply/response.
I'm beginning to feel closer to your side already.

Outlaw lobbyists by all means necessary..and any political person who is gaining monies from private business while serving the people "in official capacity"..all 57 g****rs included, The left likes to point at the President's businesses..."let us as a sovereign people" pour big money deep into investigation of every "seated" politician. And even past politicians who are alive and very underserving the free comfort afforded for them till they croak. Take wh**ever they have absconded with and taken in bribes from lobbyists. It would be nice if the lead investigator...would make Mueller show as Barney Fife type comedy.

Is that multiple choice, or is the answer too obvious?

Did you also notice that everyone who was mouthing the words was reading from a script? Most churchgoers know the Apostles' Creed. Hell, I know it and I'm not even a Christian. Goes to show how our "religious" politicians actually practice what they preach. You can find the most creative things to be offended about.
