There is no escape from the facts that the ice is melting.
The seas are rising.
Storms & droughts are increasing in severity.

It is not that what man kind is doing is the biggest facture in what s happening.
It is a facture that we can have some control over.
It could be the straw that puts it over the edge in making that small added part that brings the unwanted results.

As humans we are going harm to the planet in may ways.
It is past the time of doing something to stabilize the climate.

The oceans are rising & we want to get rid of dams that offer less water to end up in the oceans.
We are pumping to much ground water.
Water that is not being replace as well as it should be.
We are destroying wet lands.
Leaving less areas to suck up extra water to stop it running in to the oceans.

We all in some way or other are paying for the increased cost of c*****e c****e.

It is the couple of degrees warmer in the artic regions that is behind the melting of so much extra ice that is the source of the problems arising.
To not even take the small part man kind may play in the issue is irresponsible.

The figure of 40% of the worlds population is at risk from rising sea levels is a compelling reason to treat the issue with serious concern.

It don't matter where you live you will not be left unaffected by what will take place.
I live in a city by a large fresh water lake.
There is lots of beer brewed here & shipped every where.
That water is now being used in an even greater area.

Sitting on your hands is no longer going to be the answer to the problems we are facing.

I think I had better go & help the economy out by spending some money for stuff I don't need.
We can pick this all up later.

Stay dry.
But not too dry!

Man-kind has an impact on climate warming.
It may not have the larges impact.

Put that is the area we can make adjustments.

Because of the small temperature rise in artic regions.
Now colder winter weather is more to the south.

Here in Wisconsin we have less snow & are a bit warmer than before.
While to the south things are a bit cooler with more snow now.

Small shifts in temperature can & do make big divergences

At my age less snow to shovel is okay with me.
If those have trouble with the change in the w*****r p*****ns are unhappy about that.
I will just send them to you for your explanation.

In the meantime I will just advise them in low-lying areas to move inland to higher ground.
We can work on the problem after the sea levels get high enough for you to want to do some thing about it.
You would be well served to advise those in low lying areas to move while they still can.
On try to get insurance to cover their losses.(I don't think floods in most cases can be covered by insurance).

One way or another you & I will be asked to pick up part of the costs to fix the problems higher seas will cost.
Too much water in some areas can be a part of there not being enough water in other areas.

Better brains are working on the issue than yours & mine.
I say we need to put a bit of trust in them.
Then take the best steps we can.

Yesterday stats for each nations pollution were released. France up 3.2%, GB up 3.7%, China up 4%, India up 7%, Holland up 1.2% and guess what? America down 1.5%.!
Didn't you see it on the MSM and CNN? Me neither.

Don't put to much stock in those numbers for us now.
Trump is not done with all of his agenda yet.

The gas mileage on my current car is worse.
But I drive a lot less miles.

Somehow our priorities got screwed up, we scream and pull our hair out over a 1.3-degree change in the air but are oblivious to the megatons of plastic dumped into
the oceans were a huge amount of our food a half of our Oxagen comes from. We seem on a path to k**l most of the life in the sea.
So, how will you do on 10% Oxygen? That's half of what you breathe today which is 20%.

There is no end to the problems we face today.
Most of the problems we face are problems we as individuals add to it all.

There is this little saying about man kind.
There is a time of:
No think, no talk, no do
Think, no talk, no do
Talk, no do.
Just do.

Well we are in the talking stage of many of our problems.
We just need to do something about them.

I read & watch about much of what is going on around us in the world to day.
Netflix has many documentaries on the issue you bring up.

Trumps has weakened much of what Obama set out to try to fix on the problems you bring up.

I don't think that the oxygen level in the oceans is as serious a problem yet.
They are finding bits of plastic in birds & fish though.
Over fishing is taking a toll also
Methods of fishing are causing the inadvertent k*****g of birds & other sea life.
K*****g sharks for their fins.

No you are right about the importance of our oceans in our well being.

I say we are well in to the talk stage.

There is a lot of positive action taking place now also.
As individuals we need to realize the impact of how our vocal concern plays in to the bringing about action on issue we bring up.

We all need to keep speaking out on topics like the one you brought up.
Thank you.

The US Nave dive team says it's 20% and the CO2 is 0.4% !! But I bet the O is a lot less in the Lincoln tunnel in NYC.

Interesting read of this thread with so many varying opinions supported or just opinionated...

The realty to it all is the evoluntary cycle of our Earth is going to do what it has always done and some 150 years of its cycoe we are viewing with all our technoligy is, buttom line still just Hypothesis of what occurred or is occurring..

Meanwhile the sun is rising in our 21* weather today and it is spectacular.. The snow in the mountains now approach some 60 “ with the soft powdery snow....It came early too.. The slopes opening 3 weeks earlier than usual...

Perhaps stepping outside and viewing what is is your best measurement of what our Earth does as she needs..

Good Morning to all...
