If you have switched your dog's food to "grain free" keep an eye on your dog.... there is an increased danger of enlarged heart and vitamin deficiency. If your dog has lost interest, loosing weight, seem short of breath, urinating frequently, and are "slobbering" more than usual.... take them to their vet immediately. If you have a cat, although it is not yet in the news.... grain free is not healthy for them either.
I have a close friend who switched to grain free two years ago and found that none of her b***hes came in season and could be bred, after two years without any pregnant b***hes she went back to ProPlan and now has a litter that is 5 weeks old out of one of her Grand Champions, and another champion b***h that is pregnant. She has sent out the warning to responsible breeders. Smart breeder that she is she donated 6 new 30 pound bags of Grain Free to a rescue organization. Maybe a few strays will not get pregnant this year.
If you have friends who are good breeders of dogs, please pass this along.
