China just cried "uncle" in the tariff war. "BUENOS AIRES — The United States and China called a truce in their trade war on Saturday after President Trump agreed to hold off on new tariffs and President Xi Jinping pledged to increase Chinese purchases of American products. The two also set the stage for more painstaking negotiations to resolve deeply rooted differences over trade." I know there is a long way to go, but every journey starts with the first step. This is a lot further than our last president could manage.

So... good for you Mr. President!!

Careful Pennylynn, Trump doesn't have the rubber stamp that he had before and his new NAFTA agreement, as Washington trade attorney Josh Zives said: “It’s going to be a heck of a fight. This is a difficult issue that does not break cleanly along party lines. It’s a free trade agreement but its less free trade than the existing agreement. There are so many variables in motion, anyone trying to make a prediction, it’s rank speculation at this point.”

And the Chinese are much better at negotiating that are the Canadians and the Mexicans and they got more concessions from Trump than they gave up so I wouldn't be jumping up and down and doing high fives just yet. And it's the tariffs that are still in place that are killing American businesses so until Trump gets his act together and lifts those the only thing to celebrate are how many farms Trump will have to bail out this year.

Cried Uncle indeed...

So many people are fighting against Mr.Trump,
(Physically, and in Spirit) It is amazing to see him continue with such fortitude, spirit, and will to succeed for Americans. .
Just look at the previous responce from someone here at OPP.
PITIFUL DESCRIPTION OF AN ANTI-AMERICAN.

Nixon's Watergate was called a cancer, Trump has actually taken his obstruction and interference beyond where Nixon did, and worse did his in plain view where his supporters can see it but don't care.

Success will be getting rid of this cancer, and doing it to where he can't pardon anyone that needs to spend time in jail.

I always thought there was a limit to human ignorance, but you are proving me wrong. Watergate was an amateur stage play compared to the progressive assault on president Trump. This "collusion" monster is the greatest political scandal in American history, bar none. Mueller's witch hunt is entirely illegal according to DOJ regulations and unconstitutional according to Article II, Section 2, Appointments clause. I am not about to try to enlighten you simply because the effort would be futile and you are not capable of discriminate thought. Somebody is doing all your thinking for you. You are definitely not a self-aware human being.

What we are witnessing is the destruction of our justice system, a nearly complete breakdown of law and order. If you are incapable of facing facts, or just willfully blind due to ideological indoctrination and relentless media spoon feeding, then the only conclusion is that you are not an American at heart. You are a programmed fool.

Sure... let's go back to the days of obama and continue to fail and kiss the behinds of everyone.
How about an apology tour?

As for Nixon..... give me a break. Nixon was not as bad as you make him out to be.
Yes, he was a Republican in name only, but no one can question his accomplishments. It is sad that the illiterate people can only remember one thing.... and he was President when he approved the break in. Had he been a candidate... then guess what, he would have been charged with being an acompliance to a crime and at most a year in jail.

But... and here is what you can not wrap your mind around.... President Trump has not committed a single crime. You can tie him to Russia in 2005 and a revisit to a real estate deal in 2015, but the deal was not made and guess what it was not illegal. His career was in real estate. Unlike his opponent, he was not promised the presidency. He was entitled to earn a living and US citizens have been investing in Russia after the Soviet Union collapsed and the markets were opened to inverters.

Being hated is not a crime either... and it is not a crime to say an employee is not performing to expectations. It is not a crime to be impatient to have an employee to finalize their work and produce a report. It is not a crime to terminate a dishonest or disloyal employee.

You may not like him... that is your personal problem, not the President's.

So how many of the people that Mueller has prosecuted has our President pardoned? Not one, and believe it or not... President Trump is much smarter than you and probably me as well. He will not pardon these fools, by putting it out to the press that he could consider a pardon is not a promise that he will.... it is simply raw meat for the animals to chew on. And apparently we have a few animals on OPP that loves raw meat.

It is a fact, Democrats will fight tooth and nail to maintain the status quo established by obama.
It is sad, but President Trump does not really care what the 'elected' democrats try... He is looking after the citizens of the US. Years from now, he will be studied and he just may be rated in the top 5 of the best presidents of all time simply because he forged ahead against great odds and pulled us up to become a respected nation once again. So, this is a baby step with blood, sweat, and tears to come as he battle nitwits.... but, in the end, he will succeed.

Keep the faith.

To place yourself under Trump in the category of being smart must be really close to the bottom of the range.

Not according to a recent Pew Research Center Survey: "in all but two of 37 nations polled, Trump got far lower marks than president Obama; the exceptions were Russia and Israel."

I really really really hate to ever ever agree with you but I must. You can count on Democrats to sabotage Trump on these trade agreements and you can count on the Chinese to cheat cheat cheat on any agreements they sign. That said, Trump is doing a fine job on cleaning up the economy after the Obama Dark Years of Misery.
