The definition of the word Conundrum is: something that is puzzling or
confusing.

Sorry I couldn't correct the type o in the title

Here are six Conundrums of socialism in the United States of America:

1. America is capitalist and greedy - yet half of the population is subsidized.

2. Half of the population is subsidized - yet they think they are victims.

3. They think they are victims - yet their representatives run the government.

4. Their representatives run the government - yet the poor keep getting poorer.

5. The poor keep getting poorer - yet they have things that people in
other countries only dream about.

6. They have things that people in other countries only dream about -
yet they want America to be more like those other countries.

Think about it! And that, my friends, pretty much sums up the USA in
the 21st Century.

Makes you wonder who is doing the math.

These three, short sentences tell you a lot about the direction of our
current government and cultural environment:

1. We are advised to NOT judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few
lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions
of a few lunatics. Funny how that works.

And here's another one worth considering...

2. Seems we constantly hear about how Social Security is going to run
out of money. How come we never hear about welfare or food stamps
running out of money? What's interesting is the first group "worked
for" their money, but the second didn't. Think about it.....

and Last but not least,

3. Why are we cutting benefits for our veterans, no pay raises for our
military and cutting our army to a level lower than before WWII, but
we are not stopping the payments or benefits to i*****l a***ns.

Am I the only one missing something?

You certainly hit the nail on the head.

When and how are we going to do something about it?

I'm confused Dummy.
SS you consider an entitlement?
Are you even aware of what happened to the SS fund that was held in trust to accept payments and disperse benefits. It was a well thought out plan considering it was done by FDR and his group. It was so well funded guess what happened.

Congress stole the money and left an IOU. Lying, thieving, you get the point.

Now people want to call it an entitlement.

So was that ignorance speaking. Or stupidity?

My solution is to find someone similar to Ross Perot. Get him to finance a Constitutional Convention specifically to correct congress. Initiate amendments such as 28, not a wholesale cluster phuck. Then hold them accountable and demand honesty. There are systems in place to deal with the outlaws in DC.

We have people smart enough to recognize that congress is a major problem. They write the laws and budget.

I don't know how the syntax, etymology created your opinion of what SS benefits are called, but they are, indeed an entitlements, go on: look up the word. You paid for it: it's an entitlement. I go over this once a week with people that attachment so much baggage to word. What do you call it: an annuity, a paycheck.

From the dictionary you ignorant, stupid person an entitlement is: the condition of having a right to have, do, or get something or a right to benefits specified especially by law or contract. You can look it up too, if don't believe me, but go ahead take your time

So I ask you, once YOU get that figured out we can move on to the issue of SSA/Medicare complex. It is SOCIALIST program. I pay more into the SS administration (300% more) than I do in federal income tax. If you want to send your check to the DOD, go right ahead. To balance the budget, that is, the general fund and SSA/Medicare complex would require giving up "some things". That is going to start with the DOD because it is consuming more resources than any other department besides the SSA/Medicare.

I call it a Social Security Program. Funded by the employed earners in the USA. Not just entitled to it, buy earned during your employed years with interest over those years and to be paid back according to the scheduke. Except congress stole the money and interest and now call it an entitlement then the media slips in unfunded. Do you have a graph showing how much money would be in the fund had congress nor raided it?

You act like you are rude and as your moniker states. You find me ignorant and stupid. How bright you are without examining my scholastic achievements and not having the opportunity to debate the question.

I agree some things should be given up. When people such as: Carl Icon, T. Boone Pickens and others of that group; Delta Airlines as an example buy out the business rape the retirement fund; go bankrupt come out after divesting the retirement benefits. Capitalism in action. There are some good things in socialism. That is why so many muslims went to Scandinavia. Although a bunch found their way to Dearborn, MI.

What part of the DOD is spending all the money? Weapons and weapon development can't be what they pay the grunts. Or is it the contracts to the food and beverage providers, the shower and toilet facilities providers, the independent contractors such as Blackwater or Halliburton or Brown and Root, T***sportation providers. They pay multiples of a grunts pay for civilians to do a similar job. War is big business cost plus 10% and 10%.

You feel you have some authority; right something to castigate me. PHUCK ME PHUCK YOU

I didn't start the name calling, I was perfectly poised and then you called me ignorant and stupid. And now you resort to misspelling forced sexual intercourse for my final spanking.

You live in a fantasy world, a world that denies the facts and "potential" future of an unsustainable public trust: called social security and medicare (among other programs).

First of all, SSA benefits did not (and do not) accrue interest, the payout is simply what they amortize over the revenue they collect annually. Everyone knows that except YOU.

Second of all, it is a Socialist Program. I'm not sure if you're a conservative, a liberal, since you jump from one issue to another: you're more of a situational quarterback, a pragmatist of sorts. Whether you or anyone paid into it, it is A SOCIALIST PROGRAM. Therefore, you are at hamstrung to that.....I just thought you should know. Taking people's income against their will is socialism, go on, look it up.

Finally, I believe that the SSA needs to explore (like every other department) ways to conserve money. I believe that the SSA should have it's budget slashed by 5% What I would like you to do is take a look at this website:

http://oig.ssa.gov/audits-and-investigations

Then, you can understand what I'm talking about. I'm not suggesting that your monthly check be cut by 5%. I'm suggesting that the fraud, and waste will only be addressed if their budget is cut and case workers are held accountable for the waste. I believe in the first year alone their budget could be cut by 10%, that's about 77 billion. Also, The number of people collect disability benefits has skyrocketed. There are many people, such as some firefighters and police officers in NYC that were caught. Just in that area alone, they $400 million in YOUR BENEFITS.

So at least visit the SSA site and the site above and you will understand my frustration as a tax payer.

Dummy Boy-if you think Social Security will make one wealthy your chosen name befits you. Social Security recipients had money taken out of their paychecks to pay into the program for their retirement. Had that money gone into a private plan with an average Mutual fund the payout would be twice as large each month. Seniors also paid into medicare during their working years to get basic medical coverage which has to be supplemented by a private insurance plan for which they pay monthly premiums. The problem is not Social Security and Medicare but welfare and medicaid where the recipient pays nothing. Benefits to i*****l a***ns cost this country a lot more than benefits to its seniors. We are policing the world and providing foreign aid to countries that h**e our guts and all of it on borrowed money. You are spewing pure unadulterated BS so get your butt to work and earn a retirement. If you do not like it here, move to a country of your choice. Good Luck America !!!
