The bill was sponsored by Representative Matt Gaetz (R) in the House and Senator Tom Lee (R) in the Senate.
On March 18, 2014, after being shepherded through Senate Committee by Senator Tom Lee, SB - 424 then passed the Senate by a v**e of 36 to 3.
On April 22, 2014, after being shepherded through three House Committees by Representative Matt Gaetz, SB - 424 passed the House by a v**e of 74 to 44.
SB - 424 is a bill to stop insurance companies from discriminating against gun owners. All Floridians should thank Senator Lee and Representative Gaetz for sponsoring this bill, and should begin calling the Florida Governor to act favorably on this bill by signing it into law.
All you lefties out there better figure this out. This is a bill that was enacted to stop a very sneaky way of going after people who have "dangerous habits" and charge them MORE money for their insurance.
