You are weakening in that you want rules for press conferences and I don't think you are going to allow what they came up with today. This president has held more of those things than anyone before him and the left leaning "reporters" have earned anything he has said to them. I have a feeling that CNN might be doing themselves a favor if they got rid of Acosta who wasn't doing any questioning the other day.

Acosta really believed the caravan was many hundreds of miles away and the vanguard of them arrived in Tijuana the day after he played his game. I don't think many real lefties are about to admit this happened, are you. How long did it take for that leading part to start climbing over the half-assed fence that has been erected at San Diego?

Actually news conferences used to be just that but they have deteriorated to what Acosta did the other day. Since Trump was there and it was in his house I think that when he told Acosta to give up the mike it should have been nearly law. I guess you either haven't "seen " any of his previous acts or you really do believe that those left handers are in control of those conferences.

It is the People's House. He has living quarters there. He calls it a dump, I believe. Decorum. Yup.

I'm not weakening. I'm all for clear rules and procedures to improve efficiency and fairness in the dissemination of information. My contention is that this PRESIDENT is characterologically challenged and unable to follow or fairly implement them. It was he who kept breaking the established habit and protocol by returning to address the reporter time and again after dismissing him. I tried to count the number of times and got dizzy. Acosta asked his standard two questions, then relinquished the mic in the proper order, despite the demented rantings and lightning reversals of attention vs contrary barked orders that issued from the shallow ego of the Mad King. Then as the Mad One continued to address him, the intrepid reporter continued to pose further questions! Trump was the Indian Giver that kept on giving!

Trump Issues Edict To Journalists On Decorum After Forced To Reinstate Jim Acosta
By Ursula Faw / PolitiZoom - November 19, 201832

The written rules which the White House established after being ordered by a judge to return Jim Acosta’s hard pass, are really no different than they have ever been — except now if you violate them they’ll take away your credentials.

Per White House letter to Acosta on Nov. 19, here are the new rules for press conferences at the White House.

See attached photo.

There’s an easy way to get around this, if the journalists have the guts to do it. If T***p w*n’t answer a reporter’s question, then the next reporter asks the same question, and the next, until Trump is forced to either deal with the issue or leave the room. The point will be made very quickly, if they all band together as one.

Sam Goldwyn said, “If I want your opinion, I’ll give it to you.” That’s the kind of power Trump wants and the only place he has it is Fox News. It would be interesting to see what the power of the press really amounts to if they work together and go around Trump’s efforts to sabotage and silence them.

I looked at the new rules and it seems to me that the clown from CNN is supposed to follow them just like the others. He has too often told the President and his press secretary his opinion of their opinion and I just don't consider that kind of crap a question. Why do you think his wrist and hand didn't touch that young women when she came for his mic? Oh yeah, he is a left-hander just like you are.

Those rules were established just for the CNN Clown and some others nearly as bad as he is. I don't think he will be around much longer.

No. What you describe is an inquisition. A news conference is an opportunity provided by someone for public disclosure of things normally unavailable publicly. Most social rules of interaction are not written out. They are understood and abided by as a matter of general politeness.

You are right, this shouldn't be necessary, and hasn't been until the Democrats and their propaganda wing lost the e******n. They have been so poisoned by unreasonable hatred that anything is acceptable. It is easy to point out that Acosta wasn't interested in asking questions, he said he wanted to challenge President Trump on policy. I have faith that President Trump will come up with guidelines that will solve the problem of ill mannered, agenda driven political operatives posing as journalists making a spectacle of themselves. These propagandists may be sorry they pressed this issue

This is one of the best in this thread as is normal. Keep up the good work. Yours are still the posts that I don't fail to read, on purpose.

I am primarily ambidextrous, but choose right handed tools and utensils, musical instruments.... It's just easier.

She did touch his wrist and hand during their relative motion around control of the mic.

Like I said, I think the president and his self control will be the showstopper in the sequel.

It is as usual, any harassment or rudeness is excused and defended by the left when President Trump is the target. Even going so low as to try to make the young intern the heavy in that rude exchange. Written rules weren't necessary before the left decided ANYTHING goes.

They would have lost in court simply because there were no written rules to follow. Its always been done as you say out of politeness to take turns. Now there are rules so the wh will have a leg to stand on can't wait for the next encounter

President Trump is the one who walked in front of the British Monarch, called Kim Jong Un fat on camera, and has polite Canadians biting their tongues. And then there is the Pussy tape, the Stormy Affair, and the Putin Bromance.

I think he needs written rules as well as a muzzle, (and a chastity belt!?!) before we send him out in public!

Sadly, civility and decorum have completely departed the dems.

If you believe that, then it would be foolish to push too hard and risk brutally uncivil retaliation. And sinceince the pumpkin-potus knows no restraint, let's hope you are wrong.

That's why Trump is the only one who can hold the line against the dems. The republicans in Congress appear spineless because the are civil. They remain civil even when others on the other side of the aisle are down n dirty.

Exactly! President Trump was a political neophyte when he won the White House, and he is in a learning process navigating the entrenched, elitist inside the beltway political swamp. DC has never experienced a man like DJT. He's a NYC straight talking street fighter, which to me is a refreshing change from the halfrican years with his phone, pen and his feet on the Resolute desk.

We've had that, BTW. We're s**k of it. No more mobs, thank you very much.
