Advice on how to protect yourself

This former Navy Seal's biggest piece of advice: Get your face out of your phone! Everywhere you go anymore, people are staring at some gadget, completely oblivious to thier surroundings. It drives me nuts! Its like the whole world lives in a little electronic bubble now days. Yesterday, I made three laps around the aisle on a bicycle in Wal Mart, and the only person who noticed was my wife.
The trailer at the end of the article looks like it may be worth a look-see too

This former Navy Seal's biggest piece of advice: G... (show quote)

Our children don't even know how to talk to each other all they know how to do is text. In fact some are so into texting that they won't answer their phones at all all they use them for today is texting each other.

******
Bicycling three laps around the aisle in Wal-Mart says far more about you than it does about the store's customers.

Guess so Brian... I guess I have the ability to have fun in multiple situations. Is that a bad trait? If so, why??

I don't have a long winded answer on this one. It ultimately is an event of little consequence. I doubt you alarmed too many shoppers.

Funny! My girl bought a bike there once and rode it right up to the checkout counter! Gotta' love that!

Brian's problem with this is he was hoping for a gun related story and is disappointed. As he was unable to provide a lecture on guns, he found it necessary to mock you rather then leave the forum without comment.

Now, did you use a bike without training wheels? At your tender age, you must be careful. :-D

As a general comment from a female perspective, women really need to look in the back of their car before getting in. I know most cars have interior lights that come on; however, should still look before entering the car. I have had this lecture from a county police officer as well as a state trooper. They care not if it is daylight or night.

So you have grown from toddler bike to full size bike. Congratulations on your achievement! :!:  Next you must obtain a bicycle built for two. It will make Wal Mart shopping much easier for you and Mrs. B. You can bike the isles.

I love the bumper sticker.

If we had the bicycle for two, the frame would soon be twisted by Mrs. B's quest for the "shiny object."
It has become a laughing matter for the entire family now. Mrs.B tends to get diverted....She...well, it's hard to explain. We all laugh about , and give her the works over it, and she just shrugs, and says: "Yeah...well?"

  You should go shopping with her sometime!

I was thinking on a bicycle for two you could pedal VERY QUICKLY by the "shiny object" area.

I promise if I do a Texas visit I will have to venture your way!
