if the feds would simplify the tax code they could eliminate quite a few jobs at the i.r.s. they wouldn't be out of work they could be retrained to weed out the fraud in all of the dept. that give out financial support to people in need. this should help in reducing some of the wasted money handed out by the government and states. and no one losses their job. just reassigned. then everyone who works in public service should have to take a cut in pay if you make up to 50k a year a 5% , up to 100k a 10%, 150k a 15%, 200k a 20%, anyone over that a 25% cut in pay. you are public servants, if you want to be paid like you work in the private sector go to work for a private company. I also think that there is no reason any public service position should of ever been allowed to of become unionized unless you just love to keep paying higher and higher taxes.

seems like I misspell words from time to time. odd that you would comment on that error and not on the subject I put up. you might be a union person .unions have been very useful but I think they have been more of a leach in the last few decades instead of useful. but you try to have a nice day anyway.

Many, many people including myself do not want wasteful government spending. It would be very helpful if people from all sides didn't stereotype people, this could actually promote some real communication.

Jeff, sounds like a Good idea. I wouldn't cut salary of people working with 50k, they probably have earned it by that time and it is not a lot of money salary wise.
