And surprise, surprise, almost everything that is broadcast by the the fools at fnc and limburg and rightwingmedia, is either a lie, wrong, or distorted.

The t***h does hurt, and if the teapartyconservatives think that the constant bashing of the ACA or the president is a winning message, then they need to stop all reports from every source that isn't rightwing.

And of course, that ain't gonna happen.

To the contrary, this law only helps poor people, and forces the States to expand Medicaid rolls, and after three years the States will be forced to raise taxes to balance their budgets. The Federal Govt., does not have to do the same, especially with the dominance of Liberal Democrats in the Senate and the White House. They can't even spell fiscal responsibility.

After reading the link, I fail to see how your comments apply. It details, with clarity, that the ACA has ultimately worked against middle America. Just the fact that small employers and self-employed are particularly affected is important. This is one of the largest segments of the US economy.

While the ACA may be a boon for those that couldn't previously afford coverage, the enrollments don't support a growth in that segment. Most of the enrollees were from the ranks of those that lost their insurance due to the regulations. Regulations that fly in the face of what the program was sold as.

Until the Administration can quantify how many of the enrollments have been paid for, all of their claims of its success are hollow.

I've been reading a lot from both sides of isle and other newsworthy places. Our government has been borrowing money from anyone all over the world to pay for programs and other special projects. Our government has been printing money by the billions with no way to cover it. Now that no one, anyone in this great big world of ours, will buy our debt or lend the U.S., anymore money. The government now is trying its hardest to get a hold of our retirements by offering the MyRa and in exchange for the trillions of dollars in 401K's and IRA's they will cover those accounts with government bonds. It's all about money!! The government know they are screwed because they can't fund the programs and special projects so they are constantly trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes by trying to convince the public that all is well all the while trying new ways to bring in more money. If they can't they start attacking our constitution by taking away our rights and bypassing any constitutional rules to get what they want. It doesn't matter what party you ascribe to. Take all parties out of it and think about the big picture of what's going on in our government and maybe you will see what I see and that's our government running this country into the ground in an attempt to hold onto its power over the world. Somewhere along the way, we lost touch of the fact that we were the richest most free and most powerful country in the world. Now we are nothing more than a corrupt, spoiled, and worthless country. And the world is waking up to that fact. We will pay a price, a big price for all the crap the government did to the world as a whole. My only hope is that this great country of people wake up as well and see what's happening. We the people govern this country. Not government!! Go to the polls and elect those that will truly speak for the people. Get the government out of our lives, but only be big enough to protect the individual states and the constitution of this great nation.

Amen to being responsible!! We did not get into this debt with only one party, we have i***ts on both sides. They all will promise anything to stay in office and power. We NEED TERM LIMITS so we can move them through. I did the math, somewhere I read they wanted to eliminate the national debt in 20 years. To do that, and the debt gained no interest during that time, they would need to pay 97 Million dollars an HOUR, every hour, for 20 years. This is the same group that finds it hard to reduce the overall budget 10 million for the year!! I am sure the liberals have the answer though.

Why is nobody touting the real message that Obamacare is sending out for many years to come, it's a bill designed to lead to a government Ins. system, every year it takes away more of our rights, every year it adds more taxes, but the main thing Obamacare was designed to do, is the ultimate, PEOPLE CONTROL, this is the main reason for this Illegall bill, and passed only by the Dems. All bills are supposed to start within the House, not the Senate. So this means that John Roberts (chief Justice) of the Supreme Court, must be guilty of treason, and should be Fired/Fined/Jailed for his actions against the people of the United States. In fact I think that the Supreme Court should be abolished, they do nothing good for the people, they always v**e for/with the government, so who needs them? They have become a joke/disgrace. And no agency within our government should have Lifetime Appointments, what a damm joke that is.

Bo: the main problem I have with ACA is that no one read it, and passed it. Of course the scary fact is: that's how everything is done in WA+DC. No one is concerned unless it's the opposite of what they expected.

While I agree with most of what you say, you mischaracterize a couple of points. Not all bills have to originate in the House; only those that impose taxes or spend tax dollars. That was the beauty of Roberts' decision. The court ruled that the force of the mandate was a tax. This left the door open for it to be challenged for not originating in the House. As it was not challenged on that issue in the filing, they couldn't address that part of the issue.

There is no doubt that Roberts had some undue influence put upon him. The court was ready to overrule based on a 7-2 v**e on an illegal mandate - switching it to be "approved" by calling it a tax allowed the law to stand - at least temporarily. It was an e******n year and if Roberts had allowed the ACA to be allowed or disallowed on the "mandate" issue, it would have been interpreted as a political decision. To avoid unfair political accusations he moved to call it a tax.... partially to get a rise out of the e*****rate over the tax (didn't seem to upset enough people) while appearing to approve of it. But it opens the door for a different challenge - not originating in the House - which the administration won't be able to defend.

Have you noticed that both before the Supreme Court decision and even afterwards, Democrats still refer to it as a mandate to avoid the "tax" word?
