An absentee soldier has squatters move into his house and take over. Cops won't do anything about it.

The squatters are probably i*****l a***ns but the news media doesn't go there.

The cops won't do anything because it is a cavil matter????? What the heck, since when is trespass not a criminal offense? This makes me sick. The Police should be willing, at least to arrest and prosecute these offenders.

===============================

More and more cops are using the excuse that a crime is a "civil matter" to avoid their duty and their responsibility to go after criminals.

For quite a few years, police departments have neither served nor protected. They simply enforce the law. It's much easier to arrest a law abiding citizen than a criminal.

There was a time when I had nothing but respect for police officers. No more. What I have witnessed in the past few years has taught me not to depend on them for anything.

I do however feel very sorry for the honest policemen. Most forces are so corrupt it is impossible for the honest cop to do his job.

A few years ago, it became public knowledge the Atlanta PD had actually put felons on the force.

Color me stupid, but what is the difference between trespass and "civil matter?" Are they not both crimes?

=============================

The cops say an incident is a civil matter to be handled by a law suit in a civil court, not a crime to be handled by arrest and trial in criminal court.

I consider that to be a simple cop out so the cops don't have to do their duty tp write a complaint and/or make an arrest.
