This is a constitutional republic not a biblical republic. Our president is right. It no more makes sense building our nation on ancient goat-herder fables than it does running it on the principles of Grimms' Fairy Tales. Both the Bible and Grimms' have some lessons on living, but they are hardly infallible bedrock upon which to fashion our laws.

Some biblical rules and U.S. laws do overlap, but certainly not all of them. We don't stone people for consensual sexual non-missionary position behavior, nor do so for violating the sabbath or coveting thy neighbor's hot wife or new Porsche.

This nation is not a religious d******n. It is a secular Democratic Republic. There is no mention of God nor any particular religion in the U.S. constitution. It was left for each man and woman to find their own spirituality. I, like most of my fellow countrymen (and women), am more than OK with that.

Tell me what your "infallible bedrock" is that gives you the right tell others how to fashion their laws?

Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Do you comprehend the first 2 lines??? Do you understand the word "prohibiting" thats what you pinheads do.
