Where can one start? This imbecile begins by saying we don't have sensible gun laws, therefore we shouldn't be blaming gangbangers for their crimes, implication being they wouldn't have committed any crimes had guns not been available. That in itself speaks to her stupidity, but then she concludes by saying that she agrees with the Republicans and all that is needed is that we start ENFORCING EXISTING GUN LAWS.

Why do we not have intelligence requirements for the people who write our laws and who affect every aspect of our lives? Why must we suffer such fools in our national capital? I am sick and tired of all this hot air from DC coupled with NOTHING useful done by a single overpaid person who works in DC, all of whom live a hell of a lot better than I do. Let's either make them earn their pay, or let's get rid of them! NEWS FLASH TO THEM! Writing laws for others to follow is NOT work. It is sheer pleasure for those writing laws, knowing they are ordering about millions of people from all walks of life - it's NOTHING more than a power trip.

The answer to all of your questions is "Recall". The problem is that there is no one to initiate the process. All it takes is one honest person inside the Gov't that has the gumption and balls to take a stand and lead the way. Sadly none are presently to be found, either inside the federal Gov't and for the most part the individual State gov't's.

There will be a time of reckoning and retribution, but it requires a leader and as of today, there is no one that is trusted enough. Hopefully, one will rise to the need. He or She cannot rise soon enough.

I agree with you but I know that recall is only used in some states and only can be used against the representatives of the districts wanting to recall people. Recall is such a sweet sounding thing but it just won't work when the people of Texas want to recall Charles Schumer.

In Jackson Lee's district she couldn't continue to be elected if she didn't live in a heavily minority district and they aren't about to recall her. I don't even know if Texas has recall.

What I have found out so far, is that Texas does have recall. As does Nevada and 13 other states.

Try this source that I just found about the number of states who use recall for local, state, and federal offices. You may be surprised to find that few allow it for federal offices.

Not only do we have to suffer "low information" v**ers, but we also have to put up with "low information" politicians. The problem is that these people are allowed to make laws and then exempt themselves from those laws. They never have to suffer the consequences of bad legislation because the are "above it all". Many get v**ed into office because the v**ers themselves don't understand what politicians are supposed to be doing while in office. Some get v**ed in solely based on the color of their skin. Some get v**ed in because they are rich and buy their way to office. Some get v**ed in because they lie while running for office. The worst part of this is that even after seeing how incompetent these people are after being elected, v**ers re-elect them based on the same criteria. When politicians v**e for or against a bill without even reading it, they should not be in office.

I feel they know just exactly what they are saying. They want certain folks to get a pass. They want the rest of the folks to pay through the nose for it. Pay through higher taxes. Pay through being a crime victim. Pay for belonging to a certain political party. Pay for being the wrong color.
