There's much more at stake than just gun control. This link has been around for awhile but it's worth a revisit.

You have to copy and paste to make it work. At least that is what I did and it came up. I don't know how to get those to come up in the blue color that makes them work.

Thank you! Look it up.

That is a great clip. Most people, judging by the registered v**ers that v**ed, are not my peers they are to stupid to "get it"

Most of the Presidents prior to JFK, warned against our government. JFK; LBJ; Nixon: all lied about Vietnam and McNamara admitted it. Ronnie; Ollie; and the Admiral couldn't remember Central America, they lied. w and obozo lied and continue to lie.

Delete the "s" on the https. I don't know why it works, but it does.

Because there is not supposed to be an "S" in there, that's why. It is simply http:

Imagine that. I've seen that extraneous "s" on more than one link. Just a mistake, huh? I think it was a Liberal poster that pointed that out to me. They ARE good for something.

Just watched the video. It's great! I do believe we need to have tighter controls on some who purchase guns.....the mentally challenged, those convicted of domestic abuse (I lost three friends to this).........and I believe EVERY gun should have a lock on it.
About 25 years ago, my young cousin came home from school on the bus with all the kids from the neighborhood in Las Colinas, near Dallas. Usually they all went to Charlie's home, as his mother was the only mother that didn't work. This day, however, a 12 year old asked if Charlie could go to his house for a few minutes. Candy told him ok....and he went. The 12 year old pulled out a 9 M. and shot him in the middle of the forehead....."to see what it felt like to k**l somebody". It destroyed the family. And, the next day, the 12 year old and his family were gone, never to be seen again......and NO punishment for that kid.

The problem is, just who decides what "tighter controls" are? More importantly, who enforces it? The BATFE? The same Agency who brought you Fast and Furious, and Ruby Ridge? I have included a link for a few of the many abuses of the BATFE, which routinely commits worse offenses than many that they prosecute, secure in the knowledge that no ATF Agent has ever been prosecuted for anything more than the most trivial offenses.

http://www.nraila.org/news-issues/articles/2008/time-to-stop-batfe-abuses-congress-pur.aspx

You can, if you like, just Google BATFE abuses. There are several pages of links, from various sources.

According to the DOJ's own stats, in 2010, NICS, the instant background check system, resulted in 72,659 denials of firearm purchases. Of these, 62 were prosecuted. There was a grand total of 13 convictions out of 72,659. I believe that is a .0001% conviction rate. when questioned by a Congressional oversight committee about this, the response was not enough manpower. Their suggested solution was passage of even more capricious and unenforceable laws.

Once more, according to the DOJ's own stats, and despite the mass shootings that receive so much attention, The murder rate in the US has declined by about 50% over the last 20 years, in spite of a large population increase, and a huge spike in the number of gun owners and gun sales, and CCPs. The predicted bloodbath never happened. The opposite did. This decrease in crime has not happened because of the BATF, but rather in spite of it. Did you know that of the last 20 mass shootings, all but a couple were in "gun free zones?"
One more thing: The so-called "gun show loophole." There isn't one. The 40% figure of illegal purchases is a lie. Period. It is based on a "study" done by an anti-gun group, which consisted of 250 whole people, done 20 years ago before the mandatory background checks were law. The actual figure of illegal gun show purchases is less than one percent.
