The GOP is now being run by the Keystone cops as Sen Chuck Grassley and the cojoneless GOP allows the minority to score a huge victory. Grassley has agreed to let Ford testify on Thursday, meaning Brett Kavanaugh went through all this crap for nothing.

It is all but impossible to confirm Kavanaugh before the new session of the Supreme Court begins on October first, meaning that all the rulings by activist judges will be upheld and Brett Kavanaugh will never be seated on the nation’s highest court. And to achieve that, Mitch McConnell would have to keep the Senate in session for the entire 48 hours of the next weekend.

Republicans in the Senate asked for her to testify this week, she refused. They offered to send a staff to her house in California to take her testimony privately and she refused that too. Finally, they asked her to testify this coming Monday, she said she won’t but she won’t explain why she won’t. Ford’s attorneys now say she’s willing to explain herself in the Senate next Thursday.

Thursday is a significant date in this story. Because of senate rules which are complex, if Ford testifies next Thursday the v**e on Kavanaugh will be pushed back at least another week. In this environment that very well means – forever. His nomination will be over.

And So will any Trump nomination to the court. There is a time before the midterms for the White House to introduce and vet a new candidate. Democrats will have prevented the president from filling this vacancy. We’ll have just eight justices for the foreseeable future. And probably until there is another Democratic president. You may have v**ed for Trump in hope that he would put reasonable people on the Supreme Court. But TOUGH!

I may not even v**e in November because Democrats are in charge, no matter which party is in the majority.

That is what the GOP leadership is counting on. No matter how much they stab us in the back and cave in we are still supposed to v**e for them just because they are not Democrats. Some choice, v**e for demons or cowards.

I think you forgot something Obama appointed Merrick Garland and the right wing held that seat open for over 14 months so democrats are just playing the same game as McConnell has done. There just looking for a week. Only there are serious allegation and if the GOP followed precedence the investigation would have been complete. Afterall the GOP appointed Ken Starr to investigate Clinton and that was not a lifetime appointment.
I am not saying he’s guilty or he did these things there’s no way of saying unless the FBI re-opens the vetting process it’s done all the time.
The republicans were in the minority in the Senate with Anita Hill and Grassley and Orin Hatch were all over an investigation into Justice Thomas. And guess who chaired that committee and requested an FBI investigation ( JOE BIDEN)

So what the Republican senators do is destroy the messenger and and ignor the message.

It looks as though Ford will be heard after all. So most of her accusations have already fallen apart but what ever she hopes to accomlish it looks as thought she will be given a chance.

Are you aware of really what is happening?

It is impossible to see the difference between totalitarian justice such as that in Russia, China, North Korea, and Iran and that of the American left. If you oppose the party in any fashion, you are guilty. There is no need for evidence or proof or due process. The progs on the SJC have manipulated this travesty into a Soviet style court where the accuser has all the cards, no corroborating witnesses, no evidence, no proof, no official records of a 36 year old incident are necessary, no official investigation is needed, the accusation alone pronounces guilt. A summary execution is in order.

You are right though, the GOP, most of them in congress anyway, are spineless. But wh**ever comes of this attack on our Constitution, our American system of governance and justice, and our American way of life, there will come a reckoning. The l*****t lemmings and brainless puppets who have been suckered into a totalitarian ideology are going to pay dearly for their ignorance. They are not immune from the oppressive policies that will come, they too will suffer total control of their lives. Their only recourse is to become an employee of the government leviathan, and even then they will be under strict control of what they can and cannot do.

Surprisingly enough, this morning, SML Mitch McConnell gave a truly outstanding speech on the senate floor. He pulled no punches in calling the democrats and their actions for what they truly are. "Despicable".

Republicans now are hiding behide a skirt by bringing in an outside female attorney now that’s clever and the American people cannot seecthrough that.

The republicans won’t put Mark Judge on the witnesses list afterall he was the other guy in the room.

The committee refuses to call other witnesses so how can you say that her aligations have fallen apart.

Yo, Airheadone, the senate confirmation hearing is about confirming a judge to the SCOTUS bench, not about proving the unsubstantiated allegation of a l*****t malcontent.

FYI: All those who are high school chums of Kavanaugh and who have something to say about this have already sent signed affidavits to the SJC. None of them substantiate any aspect of Ford's accusation. There is no need at all for any these people to testify in this hearing simply because they have nothing to say about it. How the hell can you testify to something about which you have no recollection at all of ever happening?

"reasonable" does not mean right wing conservatives that are as hard right as Scalia was. Reasonable is centrist judges that are scored as centrists because they adhere to the law regardless of their personal views.

We can only hope that you and a million other ignorant people get disgusted too.
