I knew many of the men and women who died at the Pentagon on 911, but like our President, I could not bring myself to attend any of their funerals. I offer no excuse and I did not attend the funerals because I was disrespectful. It was almost impossible to come to terms with the thought of a large portion of my friends died, all at one time. In my heart, they were just as I last saw them; goofy jokes, smiling eyes, or the grumpiness from a bad nights sleep. They were friends, coworkers.... a part of my life. I still have difficulties associated with that day. It changed my entire life. Even now, I have not talked to anyone about their deaths. I suppose that day will always be raw and unhealing. People cope with loss differently. So, please stop with the never-ending excuses to attack the President.

Most people just like myself as we got out of bed l sat back drinking my coffee and started to reflect on where I was on 9/11 17 years ago. It really did consume my thoughts and for a long time I reflected on the events of that day as it unfolded on TV. Watching those planes fly into the twin towers just totally consumed me from what those people inside those buildings were going through. Not only on that day 17 years ago till today I still feel the same those same emotions. That’s all I could think about.

Although I did not know anybody personally that died I did have a good friend that I played golf with and we were both invovled with construction in the New England area and I did reach out to him in a text today. I remember attending his brothers funeral and met his brothers wife and three small children. It was an emotional day for that family and the church service there was not a dry eye in the place. It was amazing the number of contractors that showed up that day in support of Rick and his family.

So today I promised myself I would not listen to what Trump had to say because it would be meaningless. Only because I remember what Trump had said in the following days 17 years ago. But as I do everyday I like to read his early morning tweets as my way to start out the day with a Little comedy.

Well let’s get back to Trumps first tweet of the day and it just continues to show the character of this man that occupies the White House.

I couldn’t believe what I was reading today, all he was thinking about today when he got up was to again attack the FBI, DOJ, and Clinton with more of the same lies. I really believe these 3 books and that OP-ED are true he just cannot help himself and shows he is unfit to hold that office of the president. Because on 9/11 he made it about himself.

I was not going to mention Trump today because I have known him for many years I owned a design build firm, and also Electrical Mechanical, fire Alarm and HVAC controls construction in the New England area for years.
I know who that man is and what he has done to people. If you disagree with him he will do everything in his power to destroy you. And I think the evidence shows that as he destroys everything in his path to maintain his power, and continue to gain great wealth on the backs of tax payers.

But I know the Trumpsters will again try to justify his actions.

What was very well said and yes we all grieve differently. But how did Trump grieve today hisxfirst tweet was about himself to attack the FBI, the Justice Department, and Clinton.

Let me take it a step further he lied about a $10,000 donation. Comptroller in charge told the press there was no donations from Trump or his company.
He also profited from the recovery program that Clinton fought so hard in the Senate to get funds to help small businesses. He took $150,000 is Trump a small business. Here’s how he justified these funds. He allowed small businesses to store and stay in his buildings. Trumps Quote I am still being thanked from many people. But Trump asked for and received $150,000 for loss of rent, cleanup, and repairs. So Trump never donated a dime received $150,000 profited from 9/11. But how ironic when the 3 small businesses were Questioned Trump charged them rent for unused spaces in the basement of his buildings. Those spaces are still unused today.

So please all I am doing is to show you the character of this man. But his first tweet of the day was not about 9/11 and the victims it was about himself. When do Trumpsters wake up to who this man really is.

You denigrate Hilliary Clinton she fought for those small businesses, she fought for relief for those first responders that got sick from the effects of the cleanup. But you will find excuses for Trump and that tweet this morning was not only a lie it was a slap in the face of those people that are still effected by the results of 9/11 17 years ago.

So very well said yes it was but what are the true facts surrounding this man in the White House. The reply did not mention his lies that hundreds of Muslims dancing in the streets, his lies about I now have the tallest buildings. Just everybody grieves differently which was well said. But Trump is a man that has shown zero empathy for anything.

I appreciate your kind words. We on OPP are very aware of how you think and feel about the President of the USA, which happens to make him your president too. If you have hopes of changing anyone's mind about anything, you are in for a disappointment. Those who support our President see him as flawed, and perhaps not the person they would have v**ed for if a better, or even equal, candidate was presented, from either party. Yet he was elected and under the circumstances is fulfilling as many of his promises he is allowed. Consistent complaining or damning him is actually having the reverse effect on his supporters. Those who share your opinion will be here to shore you up and you and they can feed from your anger, disgust, and h**e. And no matter what I might say or other supporters of President Trump, it will not change your minds. However, for the next six years pay attention to your health. H**e is lethal, not necessarily for the object of your h**e, but your own well being.

Many of us had hoped that you and those who share your opinions would have been respectful and had given your poison pen a rest for just one day. There are few days when one should stand back ..... hold their tongue or fingers from their keyboard and reflect on just who may be reading your message. This is one of those days. Whose supporters are less rational, Trump supporters or Obama supporters? I didn’t even use my brain to answer that question. It is Trump supporters. I honestly can’t get over the shock the support his base has for him. It is in full view how terrible he is as a person, negotiator, and President.

His rallies are filled with h**e, r****m, lies, name calling, how bad immigrants are & for the millionth time “f**e news.” His supporters are screaming, yelling, clapping, and being disrespectful to our media. Reporters put their lives on the line to give us news of everyday events, rarely does MSNBC or CNN give incorrect information. If they do they apologize and retract it. Most of the things they discuss are things Trump has commented on or tweeted about. I can’t understand how he can call it f**e news and how they believe him. If you aren’t behind him clapping and yelling out support, you will be removed and replaced with a loyal puppet.

I am a child of Jesus Christ, I was raised by strict Christian parents and thankful they were mine. They taught me to have love, compassion, morals, ethics, respect and I could go on. Donald Trump has none of those traits and standards, yet his base ignores it. Most conservatives supposedly are Christians and one would think that would matter to them. He has done nothing to benefit his supporters, yet they think he is making things better. Donald Trump is setting himself up to be a dictator. They won’t even open their eyes to that obvious fact. They are told by Trump to believe what he says and “they do” I found it offensive when he made this statement about the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing protestors , “I don’t know why they don’t take care of a situation like that,” Trump said. “I think it’s embarrassing for the country to allow protesters. You don’t even know what side the protesters are on.” He can use his free speech to berate, humiliate, lie, etc and we should sit back like “Obedient Handmaidens. ” His supporters are just fine with his h**e filled comments.

I was on Twitter for awhile, thinking maybe I could help his supporters understand what he is doing is dangerous and damaging to our Country. They made some rude offensive comments which were unwarranted, I was not rude to them. I was steadfast in my opinions, but why send me dirty pictures and why gang up on me and call me names and degrade me? Where is respect? There were a few I had long tweet conversations with that respected my opinion as I did theirs, these were few and far between.

Obama wasn’t perfect but I felt he did a darn good job. He was always professional and well spoken and I personally never saw him degrade and berate people or to tweet insults to other countries. I definitely did not see him praise dictators and insult our Country in front of the world. I did see Trump do that. I believe the day Trump stood in front of the world and betrayed our Country, he should have been tossed out of the White House. Republicans wanted someone, out of the norm. If thats what they want we should do things out of the norm and expel Donald Trump form our White House..

No one holds Trump accountable, not his supporters or the Republican Party. Our Country has never been perfect but with Donald Trump in the White House, we are in a fight for our Democracy and our freedom.
