Let me give you a bit of Loki :When contracting the verbal phrase - I am,always place the apostrophe in the space where the letter is omitted - example - I'm - the letter -a is omitted,hence we place the apostrophe where the - a -is left out -and be sure to `ALWAYS !use the apostrophe.

I prefer to believe him. My only problem is Lincoln. He divided this nation like no other except Obama

Nope. More like whether s***ery would be permitted in new states and territories. When the Southern states seceded they did so legally. They broke no laws, because there were none pertaining to the practice.
When SC opened fire on FT Sumter, Union troops invaded VA, which had seceded but was not yet a member of the Confederacy.
