I was recently notified by another friend of the fact that a newspaper article in Berlin, their paper called "Der Spiegel" printed an article about those people who were on the USS Ronald Reagan, when it was sent to Fukushima to help, began to be ill with various cancers. Male and female, enlisted and officers, are now coming down with Thyroid cancer, testicular and ovarian cancer, Leukemia, and cancers of all other kinds.
The Reagan, and her accompanying ships that make up her battle group, were at one time 50 miles offshore, later, they pulled back to 100 miles.
They cannot sue the Navy, so now they are trying to sue TEPCO (Tokyo Electric Power Company), and of course, that will take an enormous amount of time. Some of the people have already died. It is hoped that compensation will at least, pay money to their survivors. I have personally notified two Las Vegas TV news programs, and two newspapers. I gave them references so they could research the situation themselves. Nothing.

So, here are the references: Google "Fukushima Updates," then add the current date. Also, read the archives dating back to the date of the disaster, 3/11/11. There are several postings with the approximate same title.
Here are other resources. Do your own research:
"Beyond Nuclear:" linda@beyondnuclear.org. Ask to be placed on the mailing list, it is free.

Nevada Nuclear Waste Taskforce: Judy Treichel, judynwtf@@aol.com. She is the executive director for Nevadans working to stop Yucca Mountain. It would be insane to put waste there. Under the site, there is an earthquake fault, and under that, there is a water table. And there are signs of ancient volcanism. No volcano can ever truly said to be 'dormant.' Vesuvius last erupted in 1948!

Ace Hoffman: rhoffman@animatedsoftware.com. He was quite active at getting the nuclear station nearest him, shut down. He also earns his living by doing animated software for medical school and universities. Ask him for a link to his nuclear animated software. Especially, watch "Poison Fire." Ace can also be found on YouTube.

NIRSNET: nirsnet@nirs.org.

Fairewinds: contact@fairewinds.org. Read Arnie Gundersen's articles, and see his videos on YouTube; He has also traveled to Fukushima, twice. He is a nuclear engineer, with a Phd in nuclear engineering. He has been quoted as saying "This is the worst man-caused disaster in human history!" He thinks there is no chance of remediation of the disaster before 40 to 100 years, using technology not yet invented. And TEPCO wants to dump several millions tons more irradiated water into the Pacific, on the thought that it would 'dilute' the radiation.

Watchdog: info@watchdog.com.

Harvey Wasserman: solartopia@me.com

Also, Tokyo is forcing Japanese farmers to grow produce on poisoned land, and sell it in the markets in Tokyo. I have seen a video of a Japanese farmer begging not to be forced to grow such produce. Farmers will not eat it themselves. Further, and even more cynical, Tokyo is scheduled to host the Summer Olympics in 2020. And they are PLANNING on feeding that to the athletes!
I notified the IOC, nothing. I notified the US OC, and did talk to a woman there who was willing to listen. She did tell me that American Olympic Athletes carry food to eat when they are competing in foreign lands. I understand why Tokyo wants to continue: If you Google "Tokyo Summer Olympic Games, 2020," you will see that they have already prepared magnificent venues for the Games. But I personally think the Games should be sent back to any former Olympic city that still has intact Olympic venues. Los Angeles, London? There is still background radiation in Tokyo! Yet, having spent so much money, I can understand why they would like to proceed. So, if we can get them informed, at least the athletes can make a choice whether to attend, or not.
Tokyo is now also threatening to send all the people who were dispersed after the Fukushima accident, back to their homes. They plan to cut the allowances that made it possible for evacuees to stay away from Fukushima.
Even worse, in a perfect demonstration of how radiation can harm DNA, there is a group of the monkeys called Macaques, who often in winter, go into hot springs. One such group lives near Fukushima. To keep the monkeys from overbreeding an area, they are often 'culled.' Scientists are finding that fetal and baby macaques are being born with smaller brains, and smaller heads!

The whole topic just gives me the willies. I have 13 living descendants, and I want a green and safe world for them.
I was recently notified by another friend of the f... (show quote)

Welcome to OPP. You know, I have been reading accounts of some cruising sailors, and merchant sailors both who say that there is not nearly as much sea life visible in the Pacific now. Apparently Fukushima has poisoned more than sailors.

Yeah, but I thought we still had a free press? I've notified two TV stations in Las Vegas, two newspapers, nothing.

There are people that live in these hot zones, and see this stuff on a daily basis. ie. Fisherman, Conservation Officers, Police Officers, Tourist, ect. But for some reason they are all keeping their mouths shut! Millions of dead sardines laying on the beaches, thousands of starfish in tourist areas, and 1/2 a million salmon floating in the Copper River. WTF. Is Right.
I don't Fuc#*"¿ Understand Either!
Is this the price we pay for being conservatives?
We will get to the bottom of this.

Worse than the Chernobyl disaster and even more so it’s all being hidden... The damage is done, the nuclear waste has and is already seeping into the Pacific ocean and has reached the underwater sea life all the way to this country as well..They must think we are stupid not to recognize what took place and the devastation for hundreds of years to come.

What irks the hell out of me is the fact that here we have a true catastrophic loss impacting every phase of our lives and global harm and people want to talk about c*****e c****e...They should be talking about ways to correct this situation which is not correctable and that is why it is not discussed. The devastation Japan had and continues to have wrecks havoc on their economy if the t***h was known.!

I wonder how long our soldiers will have to on ce again fighting as they did over the agent orange disgrace before finally awarded the right to treatment... Absolutely horrendously wrong!!!

May I too suggest we mass market emails to every single member of Congress with a cc to Trump! May as well send the fine work Nikoli put together to every newspaper you know... Not that they will report on it ....pfftttt..

I have learned in the last week or so that the radiation is so hot, now it cannot even be measured. As for newspaper publications, one of the people on this forum said it's all over YouTube, and you can find it there, many of them going back to 2014. One other correspondent said even all the tide pools that children love to explore, on California shores, are barren and empty. Those are the nurseries for baby creatures.
I suggest you not eat tuna, or salmon, as both species are irradiated. That suggests that other creatures, such as
lobster, crab, mussels, any of the crustaceans, might also be dangerous to eat. It will k**l the fishing industry!
If you really like tuna sandwiches, switch to canned chicken. Tastes about the same, even in salads.
In my first posting on this topic, I gave readers lots of references. If you are interested, email each, they will be happy to add you to their mailing lists. Free. And check those YouTube references.
As for the Navy, recruiters should be telling applicants "Well, since you are giving us a blank check on your lives, you should be warned that you might be exposed to radiation, whenever."
One expert said the Fukushima disaster might even be a 'Species extinction" event. And he didn't mean just fish.

He said "The Fukushima event is the worst man-caused accident in the history of human kind." We will be paying the price for centuries. And since I live in Nevada, I will fight against opening Yucca Mountain to my last breath.
