Tom T. Hall’s “Everything from Jesus to Jack Daniels” from 1983 wasn’t a hit for the great songwriter/wordsmith, but it’s a fantastic take on people doing anything they can to think of to cure what ails them in this great big world. It’s one of Hall’s wittiest recordings about having to deal with all of the crazy people and things in the world. It probably would’ve been a hit had it been recorded in his heyday a decade earlier.
