Manafort’s fate now sits with the jury, and after two days of deliberations, anti-Trump media outlets like CNN are becoming concerned Manafort could be acquitted, which would be a major blow to Mueller’s credibility and his ability to remove Trump from office — an outcome the establishment media are desperate to orchestrate.

And so, on Thursday, CNN, along with six other far-left media outlets (the Washington Post, BuzzFeed, Politico, the New York Times, NBC, and the AP) sued for the release of the names and home addresses of all of the Manafort jurors, a move that is both disturbing and almost unprecedented.

If true that seems like pure intimidation.

Judge Ellis has been threatened more than once and when he was approached to make public the names or the jury, he said not no but hell no. He plainly said that his refusal is to protect those men and women.

Media requests for jurors’ names and addresses is not uncommon in high-profile cases, and federal courts have ruled that the information can be made public except under certain circumstances.

The news outlets cited previous rulings that allow for the release of jurors’ names and addresses except in cases “when there is strong reason to conclude that the jury needs protection from interference or harm, or that the integrity of the jury’s function will be c*********d if the jury does not remain anonymous.”

“Here, there is no reason to believe that extraordinary circumstances exist that would justify keeping jurors’ names sealed — particularly after they have rendered their verdict,” reads the motion.

“This is not a case involving organized crime or other circumstances in which the potential for violence or corruption requires an anonymous jury.”

This apparently isn't that unusual and since this isn't a case regarding violent crime it's likely even this judge will honor the request.

He said "HELL NO!"

The judge, T.S. Ellis III, agreed to hear arguments about the disclosure during a hearing scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday.

That doesn't sound like HELL NO to me. But hey, I'm not paying that close of attention so what do I know right...

Anyone interested..."The federal judge presiding over Paul Manafort’s trial refused to give media outlets the names of jurors Friday, saying such a move would “create a risk of harm to them.”

U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis of the Eastern District of Virginia said he himself has received threats during the trial, in which he has been criticized for a tough approach toward special counsel prosecutors.

“I’ve received criticism and threats. I’d imagine they would too,” Ellis said.

“I won’t tell you the threats I’ve received,” he added, “but I’ll tell you I have the Marshals’ protection.”

Ellis’ decision, rejecting a request Ballard Spahr lawyers filed on behalf of several media organizations, came during a brief hearing Friday afternoon in an Alexandria federal courtroom. Ellis remarked that he had “no idea” about the emotions the special counsel prosecution would incite entering the trial."

Manafort trial Day 14: Jury 'scared' as it heads home without a verdict

By DARREN SAMUELSOHN and JOSH GERSTEIN

Updated 08/17/2018 05:42 PM EDT

Paul Manafort's trial will stretch into a fourth week, as jurors headed home Friday without reaching a verdict for the second straight day and the judge overseeing the case alluded to "threats" the jury may be receiving.

“I had no idea this case would incite this emotion,” U.S. District Court Judge T.S. Ellis III said in an open court hearing, responding to a motion from seven news organizations, including POLITICO, seeking access to sealed materials related to the trial that would have publicly identified the jurors.

Ellis denied the motion, telling the courtroom that jurors were "scared” and “afraid.” As a result, Ellis said, he didn’t “feel right” releasing the names of the 12-person jury.

Yeah, this is a high profile case alright and due to the extreme hostility toward Trump and his enemy's desire to destroy him by wh**ever means possible, I would say this trial meets the criteria for "certain circumstances".

And VERY ILLEGAL to boot. Looks like a scheme to blackmail the jury to convict the innocent defendant just to try to get to President Trump.

Mueller has done it before.

Sounds like they have an honest judge setting on the trial. Good for him.
