Very glad - but it begs the question - why is this a thing? Why isn't security clearance automatically terminated when the person leaves the job? If, as is said, there may come a time when the advice of the person is needed, the clearance can be reinstated (although I'd require some vetting before reinstating - people change). Time for another executive order if you ask me.

Time for all the flakes Trump has in high level positions with access to top security info to have to actually pass and get their own clearances if they can (which the couldn't by normal processes) Kushner comes to mind.

Why? So folks like Klinton can go to New Zealand and check out the FVEY intelligence on herself.

Totally agree and I just expressed the same thing to the Prez himself in an email. It should be part of the clearance that it expires at midnight on termination day of wh**ever the job is.
I also suggested he yank 'Crooked Hillary and Obama's clearance since they no longer function in ay official capacity. I think both have amply demonstrated they either don't know or care about US security.

OK, you're partially right here. There are ALWAYS people who manage to get security clearances that should not. And I wholeheartedly agree with you that Mr. Kushner needs to be removed from any position of authority in the administration. That said, you're overstating the problem bigly. Wonder how much Brennan can raise on a gofundme? If Strzrok can get $400K in a few days, Brennan ought to be good for 7 figures!

A security clearance isn't worth much without 'access', which depends upon your duties.

Without access, a security clearance won't even get you a cup of coffee.

Point taken, but since there are still co-conspirators throughout the intelligence community, access isn't a problem if the desire is there. It's naive to think that because they no longer have offices at their old agencies Clapper, Brennan, and others haven't been privy to information they should NOT have access to.

Having their security clearance revoked will surely limit any future in the military defense complex.

That's a bonus as far as I'm concerned. Time to put an end to that practice.
