Trump wants to be President of the United States not a Figurehead. He wants the sovereignty that started this country 200+ years ago, just like England wants their sovereignty, and all countries do. The countries that don't oppose globalization are the poor ones who want pretty much welfare, Medicaid and food stamps from our country. They just call it other names.

Trump is claiming credit for saving us from recession, you've got that right for once. Almost two years into his Presidency, Trump has increased wages, lowered taxes, and provided jobs to Americans who had no hope four years ago. Regular people working day-to-day jobs suddenly found themselves with a $2,000 bonus (per parent) and wage increases at about 2.9%. The last raise I had when I was working was 0.5% four years ago.

I HOPE Trump becomes Emperor of the US...he is already making MY life better.

My simple answer: No! But it is more complicated than that. The glaring fact in that action is how it effects the family and loved ones of our fallen heroes, who died protecting this country. It appears to disgrace their ultimate sacrifice. That sort of added pain is wrong. Yet is it justified? That is not the objective of these protests, yet for many, that is how it is perceived: as an insult to the f**g and our service men and women.

Kaepernick took a knee for the Anthem on the advice of a Vietnam Vet, he said it would be "more respectful." Why? It would show "complaint without being disrespectful." One is still bowing (by knelling) to the nation's sovereignty while trying to call attention to certain un-addressed possible injustices. I remember f**g-burning from the 60s. I got the point but it still bothered me. An attention-getter, yeah! But at what cost?

People have sacred symbols, they just do. Attacking those in an attempt to perhaps raise awareness on certain issues is very tricky and not kind. Of course, such tactics are not meant to be kind but to deeply jar the public, thoroughly move them out of their comfort zone. Make them look again, pause, reflect, wonder, question, dig deeper. But what usually happens is a knee-jerk attack. Not saying that is necessarily wrong: we all have our cherished beliefs.

Yes..we can ring a bell (knell) for America while we sing our Anthem and hold our hands over ourhearts......good idea!

You should go back to the thread and see what you asked.

The Clean Power Plan was not k**led by Trump, it was k**led by the Supreme Court. The majority of the Court had concerns about the EPA’s authority to impose the CPP under the Clean Air Act. Trump was just accommodating the Supreme Court's decision.

If true, why did you list it as an accomplishment for trump? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clean_Power_Plan

I don't think you have a clue what you're talking about.

You did not ask me that question. You asked yourself that question. (You replied to yourself.) I answered one question - about Obamacare. I'm not going to answer every question you have.

Why, you post BS you can't defend?

How do the Demoncrats manage that impeachment without controlling the House of Reps? Do you understand umpeachment and how it works? I don't think so but we do know, as of today, that the Dems have started registering dead people in an attempt to win the coming e******n. I sure hope I don't die before November so there is a chance that they won't try to get my name as a lefthanded v**e.

rumitoid, People need to be heard. So many African Americans have been gunned down by police all over the country. Some for no apparent reason. Nobody seems to care. All these athletes are doing is respectfully kneeling with one knee to use their fame to bring attention to a real problem. It's not like they are burning the f**g, or trying to bring disrespect to the nation. I see nothing wrong with it. They are addressing a real problem that needs a light shined on it. They are just holding the flashlight, and I for one respect what they are trying to do.
