Maybe so but you twisted it to make President Trump look like he was guilty when it was China imposing the tariffs.

So the Carolina plant lost their gravy train on the imported cheap parts. Now they will have to pay a little more for American made parts and have to compete on a level board.

The Socialist Democrats that own the assembly plant will have to be satisfied with a smaller profit.
He knows better.

Trolls lie for effect.

Trump put tariffs on things coming from China. The parts will be more expensive.

This is what Trump is reversing, to save manufacturing:

“Actions at the multinational level will be needed, if the process of international relocation of industries is to be accelerated in an organized fashion.” Trilateral Commission (TC) Report #23, 1982

You and Marine do not seem to know that tariffs raise prices on imports, they are placed by the importing nation, not the exporter. In this case, China is the exporter.. the price increase is the result of trumps placement of
tariffs..

They become a tax on the import buyers.. that is the American public..

That world be the same American Public that you think should pay higher corporate taxes.

Import tarrifs raise the prices on imported goods, increase domestic production/jobs, and reduce imports.

Corporate taxes raise the price on domestic goods, reducing domestic production/jobs, and increase imports.

Your preference is noted.

Eagleye and the old Marine know the reason why as buisness men. Since mother nurse allowed me a nice Cuban cigar and I am in a very good mood I will attempt to explain to you the import tax strategy (I though socialist democrats loved taxes.)

The idea is to make the cost of the cheaper made item compatible with the American product which is usually a better made item.

This discourages buyers like Walmark from buying lower quality items from China and selling them just a little lower than American products.

This helps American manufacturing, keeps jobs working and keeps money in the USA and increases income taxes the government receives and social security paid by the workers. A win, win situation for everyone. Buying shoddy made clothes that won't hold up is no bargain when for a few dollars more you can have nice cloths that last.

Now do you understand why China is complaining. They are losing money.

Hope you understand now

Most American companies left America because of the stupid Obama rules, mandates and taxes.
Now with that gone they are returning, creating jobs that lower the unemployment, paying better wages, employee's are paying into social security and paying income taxes. The previous administration couldn't see this and almost k**led the goose that laid the golden egg.

Now that the fox is no longer guarding the hen house the various government agencies are accounting for every dollar spent. Nothing is spent. Unnecessary duplicated jobs are gone the monthly payroll is down 10's of millions of dollars lower.

This is an experienced buisness man at work and not a community organizer who has never even run a front yard lemon aid stand.

I think mother nurse is spoiling you rotten.... you lucky dog...

tariffs must be targeted to be effective. my congressman Nolan and my President Obama had some well focused tariffs the helped put iron workers back to work..

Very little news about it, very good results.. trump scatterguns the steel tariffs and headlines bugle it to the world..

Obama was never good at bragging about his policies.. Dems need to learn to do that..

The US brings much more in trade deals of parts and materials then in finished goods..

so a tariff which increases prices on our own products is not a good thing for the middle class..

Ag of course has been the first to suffer and no one except those of farm background are even aware of that fact..

If the trade war continues, we will see much more negative in our economy due to lack of focus.

The Chinese have a central planning committee, (not saying that we should) and they have made pr********ns to make this a long term feud if needed..

Hope I am wrong in that, but I do think the Chinese will hold out longer then we would want to hold out..

Yes, I do think corporations should pay higher taxes.. the net taxes were not out of line with the rest of the world, and our economy did not need a kick, it was already the best in the world.

Tariffs must be directed and targeted to be effective.. not tossed out on every country we trade with..

As in target China, maybe Australia on steel. Not the EU and Canada.. that is dumb..

We import mostly parts and materials. in spite of what we see at Walmart, they are not the part of the developing problem..

Ag and Mfg will be the problem.. prices will increase and the middle class will pay more in what is effectively more tax..

counter tariffs will drive down our exports, as we have already seen proven..

Over all trade balance is down.. the ag trade is very far down and looking bad.. in futures.. have a quick look at quotes..

The driving force has been tax laws from Reagans tims which made it more profitable for US business to move offshore..

that is a republican gift.

Now worst then ever under the orange cloud..

https://www.c***tsheet.com/money-career/the-companies-offshoring-jobs-at-a-record-pace-under-trump.html/

ou may remember these words from Donald Trump when he was running for president: “A Trump administration will stop the jobs from leaving America.”

But U.S. companies sent thousands of jobs overseas in his first year as president. And many of the companies responsible for offshoring jobs received huge government contracts.

In fact, according to employment data charted by Good Jobs Nation and Public Citizen, federal contractors alone outsourced 10,269 jobs while taking over $19 billion in government money.

Never before in U.S. history have federal contractors sent so many jobs overseas. Here are the contractors that are offshoring the most jobs under Donald Trump, including the parent company of Carrier (page 7).

9. Hewlett Packard
Trump administration contracts: $1.04 billion
Outsourced jobs: 125
Hewlett Packard is a multinational computer company with headquarters in Palo Alto, California. Over the past decade, HP has struggled to keep pace in the tech industry and continues has cut expenses whenever possible. In September 2017, Bloomberg reported Hewlett Packard planned to cut 5,000 jobs, or 10% of its job force. The $1.04 billion in federal contracts HP received didn’t change a thing.
