RECIPE FOR ITALIAN SPAGHETTI
3 cans 14.5 oz. stewed tomatoes
2 cans 12 oz. tomato paste
2 cans 29 oz. tomato sauce
2 cans 46 oz. tomato juice
1 entire bulb of garlic minced you may add more depending on the size of the bulb minced.
1-½ to 2-½ lbs. Italian sausage
1-½ to 2-½ lbs. ground beef or ground chuck
Italian seasoning ( I usually cover the surface of the pot at least twice while cooking)
Brown both the ground beef and the Italian sausage and put in large pot.
Next add all of the above ingredients and cook most of day.
NOTE: using the 2-½ lbs. of ground beef and Italian sausage equals the 5 lbs of ground beef for meatballs but you will need to use a large pot to cook all of the sauce in.
Meatballs if desired instead of meat sauce or in addition to meat sauce
5 lbs. of ground beef
5 or so bread slices crumbled
Garlic salt or powder to suit
½ cup of milk
1 egg
Worcestershire sauce to suit
Italian seasoning to suit
Onion chopped or minced
Brown meatballs and then add to spaghetti sauce
To serve the spaghetti
Boil pasta and drain when done
Place pasta serving on plate and cover with shredded mozzarella cheese
Cover this with sauce and cover this with grated parmesan cheese
Serve with warm garlic bread and small salad and enjoy.
I prefer fresh grated parmesan cheese and fresh grated mozzarella cheese but pre grated works well also.

My grandkids always love pappa's spaghetti. Thanks AuntiE and the sauce keeps for quite some time if sealed in a Ball canning jar.
