What did everyone expect? I have an idea quite a bit more happened than is apparent in a press conference.
I said in another thread that "nothing" would probably happen. That doesn't mean nothing happened.
One really good thing about Trump is he makes nice for the cameras when negotiating with these people but what he does is a different thing. The media hasn't the foggiest idea what he and Putin talked about privately and Trump plays things close to the chest because all they want is to defeat him. You take a real look at the economic warfare he's quietly waging by increasing our oil production and encouraging the Saudis to do the same you'd have a better idea what he's up to.
Carrot and Stick. Easiest negotiating tactic in the world. Don't pay a bit of attention to what the media thinks Trump should have done and you'll be alright.

What I don't understand is why everyone thinks Trump should have done what the media talking heads think he should have done. The media have become the enemies of t***h! Even Fox falls far short!
Have folks lost their tactical understanding? Have we become liberals all the sudden, led about by an emotional ring through our noses?

No matter what your politics are the president can't ever side with a ruthless dictator against our intelligence community...and that's even if Putin is innocent.
I'm waiting for when we find out Trump has come home and quietly lifted sanctions and given Putin other things he wants, as if he already hasn't gotten enough.
Taking Russia's side in any of the military wars Russia is involved in sets us up to be the adversaries of the rest of the free world, that my friend is completely unacceptable, and it is being done unilaterally by Trump.

That is absolutely not what he said, he said the indictments do not say that the interference had an effect, or that americans were involved. They did not say that they didn't, and to allege that they did is a huge falsehood. In fact there are specific republicans who are being reported on that were directly involved with helping these Russians assess and use the information they were getting. That is conspiracy and collusion.
