We had Timothy McVeigh R-NY, who bombed the OKC Federal Building on April 19, 1995 imprisoned in Terre Haute Federal Prison in Terre Haute, IN, until he died from a lethal injection on June 11, 2001. That didn't work out well for him.

On March 7,2011, President Obama signed an executive order to close Gitmo. There are 172 people being held at Gitmo, and Congress has pretty well tied the Obama Administration's hand, prohibiting prosecution in the US, and making it difficult to t***sfer them to other counties.
