I await the good

We are faced with a tremendous out put of good for the average individual in American.
There is such high hopes in our future from the supporters of Trump.

Who am I to spread doubt & fear in what he may cause.
If after 60 years as an adult & I end up as a failed person.
I will not be alone.

If others wish to see what will happen.
I will wait & hope with them.

Most of us will have to put up with what ever the out come is going to be.
The mold has been cast the play is being played.
Come what may.

Win lose or draw the fate that befalls us falls on all of us.

Words only have driven us farther apart.
We can only hope that we are brought together in our fate.

Amen Floyd. If after 60 years on this planet as an adult you can still converse and hope doesn’t matter who the president is. No way you can be labeled as a failure.

I have failed as a liberal.
The picture that I see as a liberal is not the picture others see a liberal being.

It is the caring & showing empathy towards others that a true liberal is.
It is the soul with in each of us that brings out the best in each other.
It is what has allowed man-kind to face the harshness of life & to advance as a civilization

We are now faced with a road block on our path to make the World a kind place for all..

I have thought that my words would have opened a dialog between our diverent views on things.
I have not really quit.

I feel that the time I have spent here have been eye opening.
I am not going away.
I am going to sit back & watch.
I will try to stop pointing out what I see is wrong with how things are happening.

I think we are coming close to a point we will see a better understanding between most of us.
But that most of it will come as others see the fruitlessness or fulfillment of their hopes.

Amen!

My biggest problem I see in politics today is we, as a people don’t want the same results. What I mean; I saw growing up Democrats and Republicans basically wanted the same things for their country, family and children. They just differed on how to achieve it. Not anymore. I see totally different directions the left and right want to go. Quick example. The right believes we should have secure borders, merit based immigration, and strict laws dealing with i******s. The left wants open borders and sanctuary for illegal even criminal aliens. That’s just one example. There are many. I believe you are a good hearted liberal but not a l*****t. Likewise I am a conservative not a N**i.

We are a Nation of immigrants. most here now are descendants of immigrants.
The whole issue needs to be looked at in the light of what America has stood for through out it's history.
What has the Statue of Liberty stood for all these years.

I don't recall the exact words but.
Was it some thing like give me "Your tired & weary"

Well we Now have DACA & the separating of families coming to our borders for help.
Issue that could show more compassion.

I say it would serve us well to apply the same level of vetting of new immigrants to many in our leadership positions.

Yes. The biggest difference Floyd, and here I find you naive, all nations are made up of immigrants. So what? Compassion? We are the most compassionate country in the world. We let more immigrants in legally than any country in the world. Immigrants came here to work. Better themselves but above all they wanted to become Americans. Not so much anymore. Many come for the handouts. That’s not rhetoric it’s true. Separate families. Chance one takes when you do some illegal.
