Interesting how you guys on the left and Dems blame Trump for trying to make peace with NOKO,but you forget time when Obama rolled out red carpet for Cuban dictator who also k**led and imprisoned millions of people....Or when Obama paid millions of $$$$ to Iranian Government for f**e Nuclear Deal...And yet you thought Obama was your God!!!....Your hypocrisy is unbelievable!!!!

Big Difference between Long Dong Kim and Fidel Castro. Kim k**led his own family as Well as hi own people. Castro never k**led million's of anything he k**led the capitalist imperialist who had been oppressing the Cuban people since the Spanish American war in 1898. Most jumped in their yachts and fled to Florida but dozens who weren't quick enough faced the firing squad. Kim is the only fat guy in N Korea and gets all he wants to eat. There is no evidence that Castro enriched himself at the expense of the people. Before Castro 90 % of the population had no access to education or health care. After Castro every child had access and received schooling and Cuba under Castro had more doctors than any nation in the world of similar size. The US government imposed economic sanctions on the people for over 50 years trying to starve get the people into to o*******wing Castro impoverishing the country. Them bragging look how poor those people are. But some the island nation of 11 million survived in spite of Americas attack on them

Bush and Clinton got N Korea to agree to De Nuking but they backed off both times and Trump didn't do S*** but blow smoke. They met because Long Dong Wan Hong Low wanted to meet and get cessation of US S. Korea war games

No we had hoped it would be the second coming of FDR ---it was not the New Deal coalition died in the early 1970's and with the collapse of the financial system in 2008 we had hoped 40 year ascendency of the movement conservatism was at an end but it was false hope they managed to start a tea party and blame liberals and got away with it

Castro led a rebel army and started with a small group in the mountains and set out notice there were men in the mountains willing to fight and die to throw off their oppressors and the group grew and when they descended on Havana Batista's army met them and was crushed. At the time 85 % of Cuba was owned by US companies and corporations. The Mafia owned and ran the hotels and casinos. Their brothels were filled with poor Cuban girls from the country side. A reporter once said to a Cuban Exile in Florida, " if you don't like Castro why don't you over throw him " He replied " We don't have gones we don't have an army " Well Castro didn't either. I'm not a fan of C*******m but neither am I a fan of US Capitalist imperialism. Since the end of WW-ll the US is responsible for the deaths of between 15 to 20 million third world people either directly or through proxy's set up by the CIA who k**led their own people by the hundreds of thousands to make it safe for US capitalism.

I'm Not with the Dems Linda. I fled the Republican party 25 years go. I had v**ed Republican for so long I had not been paying attention to what was going on in the Democratic party but after growing less and less enamored with the developments in the Party I finally threw In the towel and changed my registration to Democratic the party my wife had always been registered to only to find that party the party of my parents was not the same party. Let one of my favorite Authors Thomas Frank tell you what has happened to the Democratic party. In retrospect I can see that that party had changed by the 1980's. But where the Democratic Party became bad trying to be like Republicans the Republican party became a loony bin

I'm not a fan of Cuba or Venezuela but am a fan of history and reality. The Spanish American War was started on a pretext the blowing up of the battleship Main in Havana Harbor. The purpose of the war was to drive Spain out of the western hemisphere so US capitalist could dominate central America for its natural resources. And to acquire the remnants of the Spanish colonial Empire. The US granted Cuba a degree of independence with the reservation that if things did not go the way the capitalist wanted the US retained the right to intervene.

Quote
I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.”

Yes. I can see where conservative values to a liberal would appear to represent a loony bin.. How dare they be for fiscal responsibility, self developement independant of an overly bloated government the people do not support... Yes, nikki I understand what you are saying..

Fiscal responsibility and Self Reliance were two features that initially attracted me to the R- party but the only history I knew is that I had learned in my school text books. I had never heard of the US labor movement and had no knowledge of anything approaching US imperialism . In other words I was ignorant uneducated and naïve. Fortunately Being an avid reader and a history buff after High school I continued my education by reading history and science related books and conservative columnist. My first concern about the tribe I had chosen to follow occurred when Ronald Reagan was governor of California and Cesar Chavez co founder of the farm workers union had called for a grape boycott. Reagan got on TV and gobbled down a great gob of Grapes demonstrating his disdain for the plight of farm workers as well as his ignorance and arrogance. I lived through Water gate, survived Iran Contra. Became very nervous when Pat Robinson ran for the Republican Nomination for President and wondered what ever happened to the concept of Seperation of church and state.

The final straw was Jerry Falwell's video The Clinton Chronicles. Produced in Hollywood with the characters paid to say all the thing about Clinton as Falwell later admitted. The contents of the video was included In a RNC v**er guide requesting my v**e and my money. I could hardly believe that the tribe I had choosen to follow could stoop so low in order to win. The so called family values party that had become the party of God could stoop to the level of the National Inquirer in order to win. What a bunch of hypocrites. So I switched my Registration only to find that the D's were no longer the party of the people. I don't think my dear late mother realized it either to her the Democratic party was still the party of FDR and the new deal. Bless her heart she went to her grave not knowing the t***h

Kind of like you admire Castro? I'll bet Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot and Idi Amin are right up there on your most admired list also.
