Joint Statement of President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America and Chairman Kim Jong Un of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea at the Singapore Summit

President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America and Chairman Kim Jong Un of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) held a first, historic summit in Singapore on June 12, 2018.

President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un conducted a comprehensive, in-depth, and sincere exchange of opinions on the issues related to the establishment of new U.S.-DPRK relations and the building of a lasting and robust peace regime on the Korean Peninsula. President Trump committed to provide security guarantees to the DPRK, and Chairman Kim Jong Un reaffirmed his firm and unwavering commitment to complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

Convinced that the establishment of new U.S.-DPRK relations will contribute to the peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula and of the world, and recognizing that mutual confidence building can promote the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un state the following:

1. The United States and the DPRK commit to establish new U.S.-DPRK relations in accordance with the desire of the peoples of the two countries for peace and prosperity.

2. The United States and the DPRK will join their efforts to build a lasting and stable peace regime on the Korean Peninsula.

3. Reaffirming the April 27, 2018 Panmunjom Declaration, the DPRK commits to work toward complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

4. The United States and the DPRK commit to recovering POW/MIA remains, including the immediate repatriation of those already identified.

Having acknowledged that the U.S.-DPRK summit — the first in history — was an epochal event of great significance in overcoming decades of tensions and hostilities between the two countries and for the opening up of a new future, President Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un commit to implement the stipulations in this joint statement fully and expeditiously. The United States and the DPRK commit to hold follow-up negotiations, led by the U.S. Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, and a relevant high-level DPRK official, at the earliest possible date, to implement the outcomes of the U.S.-DPRK summit.

President Donald J. Trump of the United States of America and Chairman Kim Jong Un of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea have committed to cooperate for the development of new U.S.-DPRK relations and for the promotion of peace, prosperity, and security of the Korean Peninsula and of the world.

Everything you said was true. These liberals are sickening. I don't know one conservative that says they know this will end up like we want, but at least Trump is trying. No one trusts the N. Koreans and guarantee favorable results, but no one trusted the Soviets either. Reagan was called a cowboy, a clueless actor yet he presided over the downfall of the Soviet Union.

We will have to wait for years, re-certify that N. Korea is keeping it's word every 6 months or so....................just like we WERE doing with Iran.

So in other words the next president will void the agreement so NK can continue with it's nuclear program. Ironic that Trump will try to sign NK to an agreement while letting Iran go to continue building nukes.

What? Expect this to be done in a day? the Iran deal was a joke. Can't inspect their military site, months pre-advance notice and they never did curb their support of terrorism. All fine with an anti American POS. Hint; N.K. had nukes before Trump was elected.

Iran gave up the majority of their yellow cake and the majority of there centrifuges which all but put an end to their program right there. If that wasn't enough we had cameras in all their sites and Iran had to comply within 24 days not months making their ability to c***t next to nil though now they can pursue all the nukes they want and there is nothing, short of war, that the US can do.

Why attempt an agreement in NK and then rip up the agreement in Iran? It proves Trump schizophrenic and nothing more...

Proves you are nothing but an anti-American lying troll. Even that t*****r Obama admitted this deal just delays Iran acquiring nukes. WE cannot inspect their military facilities. That doesn't seem strange to you? We can and should do something about it. We can level anywhere we believe their facilities are. Not a damn thing those goat fukers could do about it either.

Yeah, why is Iran so concerned about this agreement? Could it be that this will end NK's technical and material support for Iran's nuclear weapons program?

Yeah, an agreement to denuke. Hooyah! At some point in time. Oorah!

During their discussions, Trump told Un that North Korean beaches were beautiful. Stretches of clean white sand, and nobody there, no swimmers, sun bathers, boats. Then Trump pulled out his iPad and showed Un a video of the beaches in Palm Beach, FL---condos, hotels, sunbathers, swimmers, surfers, jet skis, and boats. Trump told Un that he had a real opportunity here to do something good for his people. Un was dazzled by the whole thing. Probably never had seen such a thing before.

A few days ago, before this historic meeting took place, we here on OPP commented that should the meeting succeed, we were guaranteed a liberal spin show, that every hypocritical tool you wimps could muster would come out of your asses to mock, denigrate, and downplay Trump's success.

George Foxtrot Yankee, putz.

Military facilities are different from nuke sites. We should not request to spy on their military.

When Trump first announced he was going to Singapore I said that there was no agreement that Trumps peeps wouldn't hail as the greatest ever. I still think that that's what Trump conservatives are going to do--simply parrot and jump up and down for joy no matter what the agreement says. So now Trump says we are giving up our War Games with our South Korean allies so what in return does Kim have to offer to make this quid pro quo and the greatest agreement ever penned by an American President?

Hey! Peter Breath, why don’t you shut the hell up! No matter what this man does, you will find fault with it. You simply h**e him and you can’t stand the fact that he is your President. You might as well get use to the idea that he will be around for another six years. I would not be afraid to bet you that that another one like Trump will win the Presidency after he is gone. There will probably not be a Democratic Party by that time. I wouldn’t mind seeing the Republican Party fall on the trash heap of history. Maybe some time n this century America might get a party that believes in T***h, Law, The Constitution and that America belongs to Americans and nobody else.

You always get things twisted around. President Trump is not ending war games, he will simply move them away from the Korean area. War games are vital to keep our navy sharp and ready if needed.

President Trump should buy all of North Korea's nukes and facilities and pay for them with staple food. NO CASH. 😆

Both the democrats and the rhino's forget the first question is "is it good for the USA?" and not their personal agendas. They all have forgotten how and why they got their jobs. Our forefathers never ment for these to be career jobs but citizens running our government.

I'm as much as a hawk as anyone and likely more than most based on my 'up close and personal' experiences but I have no problem with postponing war games as a good will gesture since if we don't know how to react by now further games won't help much. Secondly, if things move further in the right direction I'd favor a gradual reduction of forces in South Korea. The Left has nothing of value to contribute and they're in panic mode that Trump may over shadow their God Obama. Their best hope is nuclear war so they can shout "We told you so". Sorry, ain't gonna happen.

I have always said the same politions should not be allowed but two terms in office just like the President. Set out one term and run again for two terms.

The retirement fund for politions should be paid to social security to retire some of those worthless IOU's social security is owed by the general fund.

Stop raiding social security funds and replacing it with worthless IOU bonds.

Make politions use the same healthcare the citizens have to use. I could go on and on but I am getting weak and will say
