That is exactly the point of having a Constitutional Republic. The people have full and complete control of the government and that government, in compliance with the constitution, provides protection from foreign aggression.
Local protection is provided by law enforcement, either an elected sheriff, or police under the control of elected city officials. Keeping in mind that the people, through the b****t box, control all power.

Get Monumental its a documentary and its very good and it explains what the pilgrims went thru and what they wanted for our country and what our founding fathers wanted . They wanted God to be the base of our whole country so the people would follow the bible and be good moral peopleadn follow the laws of the bible. Congress had bibles made and was sending them to all the people of the United States . Its a must see movie!!!!!!!!!``````````
