Let's be honest. There is no war on the poor. That's a fabrication of the left to promulgate their propaganda against the right. What I, and (I suspect) the right are against is government institutionalized charity of any form. That's not because We h**e the poor. It's because the government is not qualified to manage such institutions. By its very nature, its bloated bureaucracy is inefficient. Much of the proceeds for the poor are simply consumed by the government for the purpose of running the programs before any of it ever reaches them. Even what reaches the poor is so mismanaged that abuses are possible, and individuals are able to get more than their allotted share of the proceeds. The number one problem with government run programs is that they are impersonal. It uses a one size fits all approach. What would be better is for the government to get out of entitlements altogether, and let individuals and local organizations take care of the people in their communities where they can get to know the participants of the programs personally, and develop meaningful relationships with them in order to better serve their needs.

While much of what you say is true, I believe there is a war against the poor and it is being waged by the left. It is in the best interest of the progressive f*****ts to make sure the poor stay poor and dependent upon the government. Most welfare programs and policies are specifically designed to accomplish this, and Obama is continually swelling the ranks of the poor with his economic agenda.

It's NAFTA! That's N.A.F.T.A.! Get it right please.

For those who are ignorant, it's the North American Free Trade Agreement between Canada, Mexico, and the United States.

I agree that there is a covert war on the poor. The liberals tell them the opposite of what they actually do. After all, if they weren't poor, how would they get them to v**e for the party? No, they NEED them to stay poor so that they can stay in power. They need them to stay poor so that they can keep telling them who to blame. The Democratic party, the party of divide and conquer.

What amazes me is that all the presidents for a long time favored this agreement. It was clear to me where it would lead, and I',m no economist. Wasn't it clear to them ? Why did they favor it ?

First of all, we do not have a class system in this country. Everyone is created equal. What you do in life and where you go and what you achieve is entirely up to you!!! The harder you work, the more you achieve. It is up to every individual as to what they want to accomplish.

True. However, there are classes in America. The Democrats told us so... :P

The Republicans are NOT waging a war against the poor. It's been proven that the Republicans/Conservatives do more and give more to needy people than any Democrat/Liberal. The difference is that the liberals give away other people's wealth (usually the wealthy and middle class). Every "entitlement" program takes money (in the form of taxes) from those that are earning enough to pay taxes and "gives" it to those who do not earn it. This isn't just the rich, it's also taxes paid by the middle class that they usually need to make ends meet. The more wealth is re-distributed to the "non-earners", the more people are content to be "non-earners". This type of people have one requirement when v****g...who is going to give them the most "free stuff"? The don't care about jobs, the economy, or freedoms as long as they get their "free stuff". It shouldn't be called a "class war", it should be called an "entitlement or 'free stuff' war".

Nonsense.

And while you are absorbing that comment, maybe you could quote the proof and its source for the statement you made that: "It's been proven that the Republicans/Conservatives do more and give more to needy people than any Democrat/Liberal." You've branched out from being ignorant to merely being silly.

No normal person is waging any kind of class war. Only politicians are waging class war, and it is solely the demented and classless democrat politicians and their clones in the MSM who are waging war - any time they need a baited hook to reel in some reluctant warrior, they name a war and start the war, and it has NOTHING to do with anything but grab for power. It's a childish foolish inane play on words to keep the masses divided so they cannot see all the crimes said politicians and media are committing.

Amen! The so called welfare programs are designed to keep the poor poor, and insure they will re-elect the providers of their welfare and in so doing they keep themselves ens***ed to the government.

What you say here is very true. Take the "Obama phones" that many people really believe originated from Obama when in fact the program started many years ago. So many other things like that happen and they just go ahead and take credit for them. Now, surely, everybody here knows the story about the lady in Cleveland who made all that noise about her Obama phone. This woman admits to v****g for Obama because he gave her her cell phone and is going to do so much more for her.
