The teapartyconservatives continue their assault on American citizens, with sweeping budget cuts to social programs. The house budget committee, packed with crazy teapartyconservatives are doing democrats a big favor.

There is plenty of time for legitmate news sources to drown out the lies from the wingnuts, the crazier everyday fools at faux and the rants from fat limburg.

Serious question for the non boycotters. Do teapartyconservatives actually think that NO republican v**er uses the programs they want to cut?

As a liberal dem, I hope the teapartyconservatives continue with their insanity. They will piss off their base, and President Obama gets yet another win by refusing to sign a bill like this if it would ever get to his desk. But he can slam teaparty conservatives and their "stinkburger mentality" every time he wants to

Which programs they want to cut do you use? Which program do you want to protect so that you don't lose your benefit?

My question is...where does the money come from.

put the white house spending under evaluation.

Dont just say cut but evaluate each $..

I use the highway system. Perhaps you don't
But there are the usual programs that conservative republicans always target, including veterans benefits.

Remember the Ryan-Murray plan?

This is the Paul Ryan republican budget that is being discussed.

It won't pass of course, any more than the president's budget over the last five years

The only way to help the poor is to help them get jobs. Under Obama, the rich are getting richer and the jobs are drying up. So as a die hard liberal, all you can do is misrepresent, and insult as you have lost all credibility in the capability of your programs to actually help anyone. The best that can be said of them is that it is a safety net sustains people so they don't fall lower, but they are better characterized as a net that prevents all progess by those ensnared by it.

Keep the sequester cuts for the military and foriegn aid, cut Medicare Advantage OVERpayments, Increase the tax burden on off-shore profits to the same as domestic companies pay. Eliminate corporate welfare, such Capertpiller avoiding tax on 2.6 billion dollars.

From my research, no budget item has ever been cut. So the programs you mentioned will not get less money. They will get more money. Even with the Sequester, the government spent more money than it did the previous year.

Cuts just mean not increasing the spending by as much as base line budgeting dictates. If we are spending more than the government takes in every year, it just makes sense to me not to increase spending as much as we might like. It is responsible to bring spending in line with revenues.

Social security and Medicare. I started paying when I was 17 and retired when I was 68. I did take a 14 year vacation to be a stay at home mom.

In other words all the money comes from taxpayers. Why should government be allowed to take from some people to give to other people? Isn't that stealing?

I say that the government should not be allowed to run businesses, or give money away. The government should only be allowed to pay for expenses related to the performance of government functions, projects that provide services to the citizens, or provide infrastructure that is used by all citizens. The government should not be giving away money or food or anything directly to individual citizens.

If we would limit government back to what it was before Lyndon Johnson, we would be back to a government and government programs I support. All the entitlement programs, food programs, child care programs, should be done away with and cut taxes so that people keep all that money and pay for those services out of their own pockets. The government should not be involved in those minute details of people's lives.

Good, let's take the government, the entire structure of the government back to the days of a "good" president named Eisenhower.

High tax rates on the wealthiest, cutbacks on military spending, secure borders, no corporate welfare or outsourcing, keeping American assets such as Panama canal, mid-eastern oil, a strong "buy American first" national policy, strong mainstream republicanism, no teapartyconservatism/obstructionism, strong unions and middle class.

Gee, sounds just like a Norman Rockwell painting
