Paul I don't recall you saying anything about the national debt when Obama was at the helm !

Perhaps I am guilty as charged.
But I do think it's important to note that Obama inherited an economic disaster.
Trump, on the other hand, inherited a healthy economy but has decided to cut taxes anyway, leading to what will be the 2nd highest historical dollar increase in the deficit, a 41% increase from what he inherited, and all that in his first term.

You think that half of our citizens on welfare was a healthy economy? The largest number of recipients of food stamps in history and that was a healthy economy. Savings depleted, personal debt skyrocketing, high unemployment concealed by dropping those who exhausted their benefits from the rolls of job seekers, downgrading of jobs from full time with benefits to part time with no benefits and lower wages and all of this is your healthy economy. It is good that it ended before we had people dropping dead in the streets.

Unfortunately, too true.
Though as we know, Trump has switched parties and maligned his current one.
Guess he is super-elite and above it all.

I'm on Medicare. To pay for Obamacare, $800 billion was taken from Medicare. Medicare is the health care plan for people on Social Security(senior citizens and the disabled), those with the most health problems, and, therefore, high health care costs. I know the liberals were okay with Obama taking healthcare dollars away from the sickest Americans to pay for his legacy. Couldn't they use some of the money that they gave to the businesses that were "Too big to fail" instead of taking it from the sickest Americans? Silly me, of course not. Those multimillionaires and billionaires that supported his campaign need our money more than the little people who don't give millions in campaign contributions.

The Senate passed the $700 billion bank bailout bill on October 3, 2008. The guts of the bill were the same as the three-page document submitted on September 21, 2008 by Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.

http://www.politifact.com/t***h-o-meter/statements/2015/aug/07/mike-huckabee/obamacare-robbed-medicare-700-billion-says-huckabe/

Obamacare doesn’t literally "rob" Medicare. But the Affordable Care Act does include provisions that reduce future increases in Medicare spending. In other words, the law slows down the rising costs of Medicare.

It’s also important to note that the savings come at the expense of insurers and hospitals, not beneficiaries. (The $700 billion figure is also old, from a 2012 report by the Congressional Budget Office. It’s now updated to about $800 billion.)

Under President George W. Bush, private insurers began to run a subset of Medicare plans with the idea that more competition produced lower costs. However, those plans grew to cost more than traditional Medicare, so the Affordable Care Act pared down the payments to private insurers.

Our ruling

Huckabee said, "$700 billion was robbed (from Medicare) to fund Obamacare."

It’s an old claim and an old figure. The law does reduce Medicare spending, but not in the way Huckabee suggests. The Affordable Care Act aims to cut future Medicare costs by reducing payments to private insurers and hospitals, not beneficiaries, though this could indirectly squeeze beneficiaries.

The claim is partially accurate but leaves out important context. We rate it Half True.

While it does gall me to keep paying premiums, part of them are optional...

I have had a lot of work done via medicare and as I am still standing upright and doing some things. I am very happy with the service.

And Medicare plus my Medicare supplement, I pay virtually nothing.. Only a few hundred for nearly 500,000 in total costs..

Medicare is by far the best health value our nation has..

I agree. It really does not matter whether or not you like the President. If you believe our nation is on the wrong path, then you MUST v**e AGAINST all democrats and AGAINST all republican incumbents and rhinos. If the Democrats regain total control of congress, then that is the end of America going anywhere but down, regardless of who is president. The democrats in Congress have made their stance and intentions clear, and those are NOT in the best interests of the USA or its American citizens. Try to imagine this nation in 20 years of adding, each and every year, several million foreigners, legal & illegal, plus 400,000-500,000 new anchor babies. And by then, we will have over 100 million Mexican citizens in our nation as well as the Muslims working to overturn everything this nation has always stood for. And the far-left and democrats will, before then, have found a way to award all the non-citizens all rights of citizens including v****g and Mexico (maybe others too) will be exerting control over everything (government, laws, freedoms, etc) in the USA through their majority citizens here. Republicans, weak cowards that they are, are simply our ONLY chance to change things, to stop America's downward path.
