E*******l College A 39 second read

I have seen this before - and even forwarded it. But I enjoyed reading it again (they call that: "expanding your knowledge" - which I am certain everyone wishes to do).

E*******l College. A 39 second read (Well worth reading and passing along).

In their infinite wisdom, the United States' founders created the E*******l College to ensure the STATES were fairly represented. Why should one or two densely populated areas speak for the whole of the nation?

The following list of statistics has been making the rounds on the Internet. It should finally put an end to the argument as to why the E*******l College makes sense.

Do share this. It needs to be widely known and understood.

There are 3,141 counties in the United States.

T***p w*n 3,084 of them.

Clinton won 57.

There are 62 counties in New York State.

T***p w*n 46 of them.

Clinton won 16.

Clinton won the popular v**e by approx. 1.5 million v**es.

In the 5 counties that encompass NYC, (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Richmond & Queens)

Clinton received well over 2 million more v**es than Trump. (Clinton only won 4 of these counties; T***p w*n Richmond)

Therefore these 5 counties alone, more than accounted for Clinton winning the popular v**e of the entire country.

These 5 counties comprise 319 square miles.

The United States is comprised of 3,797,000 square miles.

When you have a country that encompasses almost 4 million square miles of territory, it would be ludicrous to even suggest that the v**e of those who inhabit a mere 319 square miles should dictate the outcome of a national e******n.

Large, densely populated Democrat cities (NYC, Chicago, LA, etc.) DO NOT and SHOULD NOT speak for the rest of our country!

But that 319 square miles are where the majority of our nation's problems foment.

Well worth the 39 seconds to read? Now please pass it on.

As soon as a republican wins the popular and loses the e*******l the e*******l college is toast.

It's between whether city urbanites get a popular or ignorant country bumpkins get the e*******l.

But what does need to happen is that the whole state doesn't get the entire e*******l, if a state is split 49/51 their e*******ls should be split accordingly, some states already do that.

And what makes you assume country folk have a corner on ignorance? Us bumkins are the bread and butter of the nation, where 95 percent of the labor that fuels this nation resides. Were the s##t to hit the fan, guess who would survive?

How would you do that equitably, if you went by population it would negate the idea of an e*******l college. If you went by counties it would have given Trump an enormous margin. Winner of the popular v**e in each State seems most equitable.

Following your theory anyone who won NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco should be the entire government.
What would you do if the rest of us said fine, you won and all you can produce within the confines of those areas are yours. The rest of us secede and form the Agrarian United States and our first order of business is to build a wall to keep you out.

We seem to have a lot of trouble building walls. However, it is not fair that the big cities have more influence in the e******n, and for a number of reasons: 1;2; and 3, all unmentionable here.

I take honor in being called a country bumkin, an Alabama hillbilly. As you say, if the s**t ever hits the fan. We maybe the only ones to survive. City folk sure don't know how to live off the land. When we were brought up on the land, not a sidewalk. Try to find some Ginsing to sell, on a city sidewalk. Or maybe how to snare a rabbit for supper. Can throw a rock and k**l a quail. How many quail have you ever seen on a city street ? Good post, always like your input.
