Pit Bull maulings

In the mid to late 1980's, the Great State of Texas outlawed owning pit-bulls in their state. They were to be moved from Texas, or turned in to Animal Authority's for uthenization.
This was due to several years of gross maulings and deaths resulting from Pit-Bull attacks, a lot on children.

Many people claim their Pit-Bulls to be loving, dev**ed, and loyal pets. However, to the stranger on the sidewalk or street, those loving pets become k**lers.

Pit-Bulls are not one of nature's natural breed of dog. They were bred into existence through viscious tempered dogs from though out the world. This is their core temperament no matter how loving they are to their owners. Their massive muscled body is overwhelming to a child or adult in an attack. Their massive head and muscled jaws 'will' crush bone in an attack on a human. Their Jaws lock on what ever body part they've attacked and will not let go until those massive mandible muscles have spasmed through it's cycle.

While working in the ER, I've seen several grueling wounds to the body from bites, and detached body parts from Pit-Bull attacks, ears, fingers, etc. Mostly to children.

I knew a family who had two pet Pit-Bulls, Cleo and Bandit. The family said that they were very friendly, loving of people, and nothing viscious. Then one morning, they awoke to bleatings and screams going on in their small mini farm to find their llama walking around with it's throat ripped out, their goat mauled - ripped apart, and dead. The attackers with blood all over them, the two Pits.
Pit-Bulls, the name is what they were bred for. It is their inner core temperament that cannot be changed. Loving to their owners, but deadly to outsiders.

"Pit-Bulls are not one of nature's natural breed of dog." This could be said about a lot of dogs that we breed today. We breed a lot of dogs that never were until we started messing with the breeds. I do agree that a Pit Bull is and can be a vicious dog any time they feel like it. They often turn on their owners and not just some stranger walking by. We had a lady here in town that was k**led by hers because she had gone shopping that day and didn't get back in time to feed it at the right time. I guess he got mad and k**led her for it. The police had to shoot the dog just to get in the house to get to her, but by then it was to late. Pit Bulls are one dog that I never have trusted and will never own. Even if the owner is around, I still don't trust them. That is just one breed that I have no use for.

Thank you for bringing this to the attention of OPP participants. I live in an area that is afflicted with an epidemic of pit bull ownership. I see them all the time at the public parks. Many are owned by "testosterone fueled" young men, who brandish the un-neutered males as if they were a loaded gun.

Then there are the "kindly" folks who "rescue" these predators. They always say things like he's so sweet, he would never hurt anybody, etc., etc.

There is an 82 year old man who comes to our local dog park. He uses this type of line. One day, I watched his two friendly pit bulls get into a fight with each other. One ripped open the side of the other one, drawing huge amounts of blood from the gash in its side.

I now have to schedule my daily walks with my Labrador, Gracie, to avoid any unwanted meetings with this man and his "trusted" companions.

I wish they would outlaw them here like they do in Miami. The very least they could do is give their owners a $10,000 dollar fine if they attack anyone. That should solve this problem of gruesome fascination with owning an alpha predator.

I am curious about other OPP posters who have had unwanted run-ins with these "friendly" animal companions.

Isn't it wonderful how our Lord God's Word can be applied to all things, so long as it glorifies his message and intent for mankind!
It is my own baseline belief that this chapter you've pointed out is part of a deeper doctrine regarding the Jews first, then the Gentiles, as scripture states regarding judgment.
The Jews stood before the Throne of Judgment first in WWII where "ALL" their Riches of Gold and Silver they worshiped instead of Jesus Christ were taken from them. Then, per God's 10 Commandment, and the Book of the Law, the children (lineages) of the evil Priests (father's) that manipulated Jesus Crucifixion- were k**led. Jesus, who purged all their sins on the Cross, then came back in their Deaths to escort them to Heaven. "Every knee shall bend."
Remember, to us it is "Faith UNSEEN" However, we did see and witness the physical acts of WWII on the Jews. That is to be our lesson for us, into our future, on God's Promises to the Good or the Evil.

As was Hitler Robbing and Stealing as a "Thief", we have a President and his Administration that is selling out all of America's Citizens Money. This is our Tribulation, and Trial.
The Jews before the Throne of Judgment "First," then the Gentiles. "What is the root of all Evil? Riches, Gold/Silvers, Money." When Man gets to where he relies so heavy on Money, Golds and Riches, before God, and all the Corruption that comes from those things, God takes it away. I don't see our government nor country turning back to God, not under Obama anyway, so how far will we go??
Judgment for the Gentiles is Individual, at each our demise and not as a complete race (or Body) as the Jews were. Still, Every Knee Shall Bend before the Majesty of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Judgment.

I do like your interpretation of those verses towards mankinds self indulgence, and self obsorbence- no matter what the cost to others! Awesome, Thank You~

The few years I did live in Texas, a news article came out of a man jogging through his neighbor hood, and saw smoke inside the windows of an elderly mans home who lived their by himself. The Jogger broke through a widow to get into the house to rescue the elderly man who he found laying on his bed in the bedroom, when his two Pit-Bills came running our from under that bed attacking him and mauling him into critical condition.
Pit-Bulls went through "Years of mixed breeding with Viscious Dogs Only," soley for the results that we now have.
No other Dog has been cross breed for years specifically for this purpose.

I hit the "report issue" button. Obviously this person is just here to peddle their religion and proselytize. This is why it is so important to have freedom FROM religion.

That's alright by me Brian. I hit the "report issue" to the Celestial Court and Judge Jesus Christ, whose power over all creation was vested in him by God the Father. Shall we keep in touch the rest of our lives to see what comes of it?

I bet, at some point in the rest of your life you may become saved!

i can understand your reasoning concerning pit-bulls and rightfully so. i know you've heard this over and over but your dog dependz on how you bring it up. my son brought up 'girly-girl', a pit-bull who don't even know it because she was brought up the same way you bring up a child...show `em whatz right and wrong. she thinks she's a retriever like you wouldn't believe.

Of all the people to hit a report issue with all the hatred and drivel he spits out. It is almost laughable if it wasn't so sad for his lost soul.

Is there a revision to the wording of the First Amendment of the a United States Constitution I missed? My copy still says "the free exercise thereof;" as relating to religion. You know what else seems not to have changed? "Or Abridging the freedom of speech" seems to still be in there. You certainly exercise your "freedom" of speech often, yet, would "abridge" hers. How tolerant......N O T!

The last one that I knew of in my home town died of lead poisoning. Tragic, but everyone on the block felt much safer allowing their children walk to school.

This is about the time they start screaming separation of church and state, like they know what they are talking about. That is one thing I learned about progressives, they want their freedom of speech, but they sure like to control others................
