Issur Danielovitch Demsky turns 101 today, but he started his birthday celebration a day early Friday by placing a phone call to his 98-year-old sister, Ida Sahr, in Schenectady. Born in Amsterdam on Dec. 9, 1916, he is one of the last living people of the film industry's Golden Age. During his career he appeared in more than 90 movies including Paths of Glory (1957), The Vikings (1958), Spartacus (1960), Lonely Are the Brave (1962), and The Final Countdown (1980).
Happy Birthday Mr.Douglas He makes today's biggest"stars" look like amateurs.
