I lived in Grand Rapids Mi for 20 years and flew.to Chicago a lot for business meetings, but never made it as far as Wisconsin. Which is funny cos it's not that far away. I'd like to go to the dells there and House on the Rock.
I just don't really have an inkling to go to Canada, I could see visiting Alaska tho..Ive seen pictures of Bend. Would love to rent a cabin on a lake there and go horseback riding and explore the area. : )

I have musician friends in Manchester,Mi. you would love the dells.only reason we ventured to Canada was for a battle of the bands.out doors yet? a bit too chilly for me.have heard a lot of good things about Alaska the cruises there in particular.without a doubt you would like Bend,we did. I lived in Chicago over 30 years,House of Rock I personally never saw, strange with all the traveling thru and around the state.

Not too familiar with Manchester, but I do know it's over towards east MI. I'd love to take.an Alaskan cruise..see the beautiful landscape, icebergs, and oh my goodness the whales. The biggest fish I ever caught was a 22 lb steelhead. I just couldn't even picture the size of a whale in real life. Probably take my breath away....

right, they did talk a lot about Lake Michigan.that's a cruise I would like too! no doubt the whales would blow you away.
caught a large mouth bass, maybe 10 lbs on the Illinois/ Wisconsin border long ago.divers down here recently helped out a whale shark in distress.they average a football field long but are gentle and harmless.poor thing had what appeared to be a tow line in its gills they guessed years.imagine one tapping on a diver for attention?that's how it came to pass.in the end both whale and divers had to feel good.

I wouldn't know but would not doubt it no one ever mentioned it. was sunny when we got there.

there were at least a dozen trucks along with vendors inside that had to replenish often I'm sure.
someone in our crew had the foresight to bring food and we cooked our own mostly( hard to do in rain) until we ran out on day 4.
not many know there was a day four unless was there. trucks and vendors all but vanished on day 3. one maybe two knew to hang around.

it is a whale they just call a whale shark,it might eat sharks I don't know.just know they're huge unlike the run of the mill whales we have come to know. they are deep water mammals and rarely seen in this part of the world plus as mentioned harmless.jaws was based on a real life happening around the turn of the century up New England way a great white went into a fresh water river got acclimated to it and we know the rest.they changed it for Hollywood to saltwater.not a shark fan either.
