Alex Sink came very close to winning Florida's gubernatorial e******n in 2010, and is currently locked in a very tight special e******n battle over Florida's 13th Congressional District. She is a Democrat. At a recent e******n forum, she offered the following analysis of the urgent need for immigration reform:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=s6S4zSPN5Ec

“Immigration reform is important in our country. We have a lot of employers over on the beaches that rely upon workers and especially in this high-growth environment, where are you going to get people to work to clean our hotel rooms or do our landscaping? We don’t need to put those employers in a position of hiring undocumented and i*****l w****rs.”

Wasn't that kind of like what Mit said about his undocumented maid? He had so many immigrants working his lawns and such, he couldn't keep track of them all. Oh yeah, when he got caught with the illegal, he had her deported.

These i***t politicians see things that way all across the board. They see the poor in similar fashion. If they could get everyone a job at a decent wage, we wouldn't need charity groups any more. Look at a politicians financials and see which one's give to charities in excess of the maximum amount allowable for tax deduction. I bet you could count them on one hand.

It seems just fine for one party but a complete no-no for the other. Have had several calls from the Sink campaign and have hung up every time. Don't care for either party candidate, one has c***ted tax payers and the other is a former lobbyist.

You mean, 25 years ago, all those teenagers I saw mowing lawns for movie money instead of sitting on their ass playing video games were really i******s? I'll be damned.

Fifty Five years ago for me. My brother and I did it with non-powered push mowers. Graduated to a paper route very quickly. Spent some of the money at the skating rink instead of the movies. Had to pay for my bicycle too.
Mother worked in garment factories till the unions promised the workers they would get rich if they joined, then her work got moved overseas. Wound up buying most of my own school clothes too. Mom still had four boys at home when Dad died so money was a little tight. Oh well, that caused me to learn to make my own way.
Wife and I both worked for 50 years, sometimes two jobs each, and never drew unemployment or workers comp.
Sorry folks, I got a little carried away. Been reading to many posts by those who think the government should take my hard earned money and give it to those who "just can't make it on their own".

Paper route was my second job year around, mowing summer, shoved snow winter were the main money makers. Then came potato picking in the fall for a month, big money-$160 a week. Never had a new bike, never had fenders, no chain guard, breaks, tires and frame was about it. Helmet, what was that for? All the money I earned went into school clothes and later to buy a 15 year old car.
Worked for the railroad two summers as summer help. Thought it odd, started work at 7AM but didn't do anything until 8:30 because first we had to go down the track to the job site then we'd leave at 2:30 so we get back in time the check out. An hour for lunch so that made the total work day 5 hours and we'd get paid 8. Didn't understand at the time but that was union work with union hours and union pay. Two years after I joined the service they went belly up. $16.50 as a 15-17 year old as part time summer help so what were the regular guys making?
