That's not a contraption Paul! That's a chili roaster! 👍 I wish I could find candles that mimicked the aroma that thing produces! I would keep the maker in business for the rest of my life!👍
My family used to gather up at my cousins in Belen NM. every labor day weekend for a reunion, and chili roasting/peeling for everyone. The whole town smelled like that all weekend! We always called labor day green chili weekend. Some of the best times ever!👍
Now, back to the topic of the thread.
After three days of partying, heavy drinking, and eating everything you can imagine with either red, or green chili in it, "coming out" doesn't even start to cover it!
It's like a natural/man made/organic/inorganic three day gut scrub!

I buy those flame roasted Hatch Chilis via mail order from The New Mexican Connection.

A bowl of Red just isn't worth a damn without those flame roasted beauties. My favorite sandwich, above all others, is roasted Sandia, extra hot, chilis in a crisp crusted soft interior Kaiser roll. With just a little salt.
